Most plausible idea yet. Pulled the batt out to tinker and since reinstall its been 13.7 to 14.0 the entire time. Starting to think they didn't have everything tight from the factory. Could also very well be a fluke
I understand all of this as I have dug up every piece of information I can find on the etorque system(sadly that still doesnt equal much). What i can't come to understand is how the converter determines what voltage to put out to the battery on 12v side. I could see if ot put out a set voltage...
I will agree northstar makes a good battery, but I'm actually going to put an xs power battery in. Going to a d3100 for the added reserve. My concern with the voltage(and amperage output?) Actually falls in line with adding my aftermarket stereo. Dont want to cause any issues but seeing as there...
Honestly i dont think so. My brain tells me there is an issue, but modern technology isnt my expertise. My brain also tells me 12.5v is a bad battery but they say otherwise. Told me they couldnt touch it without a code so I'm kinda on my own. Going to swap out with a strong agm and see if that...
i know this thread is a bit old but have been having similar concerns for some time now. I took my truck back to the dealership twice now due to voltage concerns and just keep being told all is fine. My etorqure rarely sees over 13 volts. typically reads 12.8- 13.2ish. Bought the truck new at...
Ok. So spent some time researching tonight. If im reading this diagram right then I imagine a full big 3 would be quite pricey. However what must be done and all. I plan to add a 2/0 run of power from #6 to front battery. Also a run on the 48v side to its connection point on passenger firewall...
Well. Ive already picked up all my equipmemt. Haven't pulled truck apart yet but found the runs from the etorque batt to the front. Look to be 2/0 but not sure how much shielding there is. If I get a dry day to work on it I'll.make sure to post back anything I figure out
they wouldnt run battery cable back without a batterry to tie into. Would just be a point for troubles later. also my etorque has some sort of module they run into on the left side of the firewall not sure if the standard motor has that there either
curious as to the project your working on? i still have yet to find any useful info on the etorque portion of the truck. other than the schematic shared earlier in this post.
Obviously this thread is rather old. I have the etorque myself and will be wiring for my sound system in the next week weather dependant. Obviously without traditional alt big 3 will be different, but will figure out some way to make this work. Stock cabling to my 12v batt is rather weak. Would...
I have a 21 bighorn, as far as roadnoise goes it is rather quiet. However, i suspect a lack of any deadener or insulation for that matter under the center console. I notice after shutting off the heat, that area goes cold again very quickly. Like many others have said though, overall it is a...
always nice to know someone. word of advice, remember they are there lol sad how many times ive hit my shins just putting something into the back seat not thinking about them
I looked into tbe mopar ones as well before purchasing my amp powerstep. They need to be programmed into your computer, so if you dont have alpha odb, the dealer will habe to set them up.
I installed the amp research boards on mine last week. LOVE them. Wife doesn't complain about climbing in now and my kids have no issues getting in and out. Took maybe 2.5 hours to install...still need to put the leds on for the steps, but im on the fence about drilling the holes.
