It seems like a no-brainer. Customer complains and they get paid.
I know in the beginning some dealerships did not want to risk breaking more stuff since the dash has to get torn apart, which would be their dime to fix it.
The dealership is an "independent" franchise and can approach things at...
You couldn't give me one day to dream!
You've crushed my dreams of being king of the gear mountain. 😢
I'll stick with "putting ketchup on my cheeseburger" as people blow by me. I'll end up passing them down the road when the cop pulls them over for testing their speed limiter. (y)
I'd just shallow stage to get a jump on the light. The 3.92 truck will tach out in 8th (my 7th) so I'll have an "extra gear" and run them down at the end and take the line by a bumper with the higher trap speed. :p
At current prices ($4.69/gal for 91 octane) it's a double swipe if I get below 3/8 of a tank. I either do one swipe and call it a day or do the double-swipe if some elitist is eyeballing me from their plug-in hybrid that's behind me waiting.
Here's the list: https://www.toptiergas.com/licensed-brands/
I fill up with Costco 91 octane, which is usually cheaper than 89 octane at other stations around me. I burn through a tank a week so make back my $60 membership fee in about a month.
"Back in the day" I had no problem putting additives in vehicles. Now with all the new technology and sensitivity of sensors and programming I do not mess with that any more.
I stick to Top Tier fuel and do not add any fuel additives and do not "home brew" my oil any more. IMO too much chance...
I'm good up to about 75 MPH before my MPGs start to noticeably drop off.
My sweet spot is 70-75 MPH. 65 MPH puts me about 1500 RPM with my 3.21 and is a little below the oomph it needs to hold 8th on anything more than some headwind or slight incline.
At 75 MPH I'm at 1750 RPM and the truck is...
I'm not sure how the system responds to only a portion of the function installed.
I would wait until you get everything installed then make the software changes to see what happens before you tear back into anything.
I have the same kit but haven't installed it yet. My plan is to install...
Those were most likely the E-rated version of the tire if they were heavy.
I have 275/65-18 tires and the XL version of the Ridge Grapplers (45 lbs/tire) which are lighter than the C-rated Falkens (48 lbs/tire) that came with my truck.
I'm on my second set. The first set was great - they had...
I think as long as you don't go past 64GB of music or nest too may folders you'll be fine.
It seems the "supports" is a grey area as many have used larger thumb drives and have had success with less than 64GB of files.
It should be, but in the heat of battle sometimes things slip from your mind if you don't go in prepared.
A lot of shiny new vehicles, the smell of new cars on the sales floor, and a silver-tongued salesperson to keep you distracted is effective since that's a sales model that has been...
It doesn't firm up the shifts but using tow mode definitely improves the shift strategy for "brisk" driving. It all but solves my kick-down issue when coming to a stop.
Avoid traffic and stopping. ;)
Seriously, though, one of the biggest differences for me was accelerating to speed. I used to ease up to speed but that takes more fuel.
Now I accelerate "briskly" to speed. I'm not taking off like a dragster but get on it and get the RPMs up to around 3000 RPM...
