Fair enough. I can appreciate and understand your viewpoint that the G2 should have had on-board GPS. I have come to believe that is the wrong approach 2000-late. The benefits from smartphone integration are now far better than onboard GPS, and will only improve since phones are on a much...
Is this solution still working for you? I've been having intermittent (maybe 1 time in 10) connection problems with CarPlay. I'm thinking about buying this and changing it myself since my truck is beyond warranty on miles now.
Sorry for the super slow reply. I was not sure whether I wanted to get back into radar detectors, but turns out the V1G2 is incredible. I had posted a summary review at rdforum.org, but the short story is I had stopped using detectors completely when I sold my V1 on Craigslist in 2013. I was...
I believe mine works the same way but I like CarPlay so much that I pretty much plug it in every time, so I can't say that this has been a major issue for me.
I have a laramie sport with the 20's with the Bridgestones. The ride is absolutely terrific. I drove 3 different rams with the 22's, which has a slight negative impact on ride.
Congrats! And, yeah, it's tough for the people trying to research a new Ram. Often people will come to the forums for an answer to a problem or quirk or something they think should be done differently, but statistically many many more aren't having problems. It skews the picture for...
Yes. I ordered, and you still get discounts. You can negotiate the dealer discount up front. In my case this was $9,000 even on a 62,230 Laramie Sport. Then there are some rebates that are price protected, meaning you still get them when it arrives. In my case this was 2,750. Then there...
Let's be clear that I think everyone agrees there is no lifespan or reliability issue to using 87 in the 5.7L Hemi. The engine management will manage ignition timing to protect the engine, and the engine will live a long life as evidenced by many. I don't think it's worth debating that any...
I did fill up with Costco 93 this time, and I don't hear the knock I thought I was hearing on the Costco 87. 1,650 miles on the truck now. I'll have to switch back to the 87 to confirm, but the 33 gallon tank takes awhile to burn through. Truck does feel a little more alert, especially at...
Sometimes these are temporary restrictions due to balance supply & demand. Complete speculation on my part, but perhaps they may be experiencing more demand for pano’s than expected, and supply side response is not yet complete.
I’ve been running Costco 87 in mine over the 1,400 miles since new. I thought I heard part-throttle knock/pre-ignition/detonation on the last tank and I heard some again on this tank. I’m going to switch to Costco 93 and see what happens to knock and mileage.
