The 5th gen Ram has won a lot of awards since its launch, and rightfully so. It's an impressive automobile, let alone truck...well thought-out, designed, and assembled (for the most part). Notwithstanding some of the recurring complaints we have seen on here, it seems overall to have good...
Agree with @spinxt that you can do most of it yourself and avoid your toxic dealership. Or, find another qualified service center who can adequately perform and document that they've done the inspections and/or services required. As for what is called for, this is from the OM:
Another thing I didn't know but have figured out is that if you push the center button where the volume rocker is behind the right side of the steering wheel, it changes the input mode. Like, from Satellite to Aux1, Aux2, Aux3, Bluetooth, AM, FM, and so on.
I hadn't noticed this on SiriusXM but I do know it does it on iPhone (or other .mp3's and the like). I'll have to give it a try today to see if I have the same results with satellite radio.
This was always my assumption whenever I'd see "leather trimmed", and you are probably right. It's just that the manufacturers are all so vague about it now that it's hard to tell anymore. They could say leather-trimmed and it could be accurate if any part of the seat was leather, no matter...
Yep, this is exactly how I back into my garage (sans the auto brake now.) The fourth element I use is a small piece of black tape on the wall that I use to line up my eyes to the door lock peg to the tape. Keeps me consistently in the same spot without having to use a parking pad, block...
Yeah, I know this is a minor annoyance (aka first world problem). But anyway, here goes. When getting into my truck, as I'm adjusting and positioning myself, I sometimes use my head as leverage against the headrest. In doing so, the force will cause my headrest to shift upward. I prefer it...
This also made me think of the puddle lamps (the ones on the very bottoms of the side mirrors). They come on when you unlock the truck at night (daytime too?) and also when you lock it, I think (also at night, but not sure about day?) They are definitely helpful at night when approaching or...
If you do a quick site search, you will find this is one of if not the most common complaint about the new Rams. I haven't had to use my a/c yet but am curious to see how it does, as I'm pretty hot-natured.
I bumped my tire pressure from 36 to 40 and have seen about a 2mpg improvement. Not suggesting you do the same, but so far I am pleased with the results, and the ride is largely unaffected. Maybe a teeny bit harder, but overall still very nice.
Wish there was a way to truly know. Can't seem to find a definitive answer. I like to use a specific leather cleaner and conditioner on the real leather portions, while using something different on the faux leather, vinyl, etc.
That was a pleasant surprise for me, too. Turns out they are indeed your fog lights. If you have them on, it won't matter...they'll both stay lit. But if they're off, your blinker side fog light will come on during the turn. Very nice touch. Reminds me of an '85 Thunderbird I had way back...
Another observation. While psi obviously increases as the tires heat up and air inside expands, these seem to expand more than other vehicles I've had. These will go from 40 to 44 in only a few miles of driving, then will just stay there. So 10% increase and hold. Others I've had seemed to...
It's easy to lose track of that. I would usually check it only occasionally on my F150s, but when I saw the lower-than-expected fuel economy on the Ram, I checked it out and saw that the air pressures ranged from about 33 to 37. My obsessive self couldn't handle that, so I adjusted them all to...
Nice improvement...hope I see the same. The jump after the tire pressure change was instantaneous, so maybe I'll get even more improvement with some additional miles. Doubt I'll go full synthetic but haven't decided yet. Also not sure when I'm going to do my first oil change but definitely...
