Mine hangs out a couple feet, which is very, very sad. To leave a brand new vehicle in the driveway, with all the dust that settles after the rain, and scraping windows in the winter, paint fade in the summer. It's not a happy feeling. Be happy you can shoehorn, brother.
I have some too, they are much cheaper than a full set of black metal lugs. The visual effect is every bit as satisfying, and you worry much less about degrading finish if you'd had the black lugs. They're easy to remove for rotating tires, which I did a couple weeks ago.
Man, I see that and I'm grateful that I have a winter beater in my 2001 Dodge Dakota. It's already terribly rusted, but what's a few more cancers? Runs fine but drips coolant from an unreachable location. Meanwhile, my Ram will stay parked whenever there's salt on the highway. That is evil...
You can't look at your phone while stopped at a red light?! Only off the road and in park, I'm guessing? Wow.
Devil's advocacy, yeah, distracted driving is definitely causing accidents nationwide. We all push the limits. Nevertheless, tickets are very frustrating.
Question for those of you who have upgraded your wheels and tires.
I have 22" OEM on my Laramie. I know that the 22s are vulnerable to curb rash, low profile sidewalls aren't great for off-road conditions, and there are much better options for winter tires with different wheels.
But...a...
Interesting comment about touching your phone. How does a LEO get close enough to accurately observe said action?
I wonder if window tinting improves your odds of avoiding detection?
What year is your Dakota? I have a 2001, and it's so terribly rotted by corrosion (Indiana winters). I have a broken leaf spring buckle on the passenger side. It's been awful trying to get it out of there, everything is seized with rust.
Yours looks very clean. I must assume you don't have...
That blue really hides when it's out of the sun. No one is going to judge you for running winter tires in the winter. Good choice, and nice to have the added traction / safety.
I'm very interested in these types of products, because I am fully aware of the spongy pedal feel. But...anecdotal comments in these 5thgen forums have led me to believe that a user might have computer problems. There's no telling if you'll be the lucky owner or the unlucky one. Hope for the...
Three posts after this comment, another owner posted that he upgraded his hi mount brake light to LED. Brighter! I think that divergence is amusing. I think it's great that so many modify their trucks to make them look cooler or give them more functionality. Personally, I'm thankful for any...
My winter beater is in very poor condition but still drivable. I have at least one more winter, but I foresee having to drive my Ram on salted streets before long. I've been looking at another product. What I want to know is, how did you manage hitting only targeted areas? I don't see much...
