That is nice.........what is the offset you’re running on your rims ? I’m torn between running a 19mm 24x10 and a 30mm 24x10, I’m looking for exactly what you have currently.
I had to buy an adjustable trac bar, to get the rear perfect. I wouldn’t worry so much about Pinion angle In the rear as I would about having components tagging the frame on a 4x4, the 4” settles a bit lower than you would think lol , now I’m looking at ihc’s 4 link brackets to correct all of...
Oh I know snow, where I live in Canada and being a hockey coach I travel all over Ontario and Quebec for hockey in epic weather conditions! I’ve always driven 2wd low riders lol, the only time the get sketchy is when the snow is over a foot deep...........had a lot of those days last winter!
Actually, has anyone seen or found an extended caster camber kit for these trucks for the upper control arms? Or I’m going to order (if I can) the ihc upper arms and go down to the last setting on the max trac strut, then cut the rear springs and drop down to a 275 45 20 tire to achieve a 5/6...
I have my ram set at 3” in the front and 4” in the rear with the MaxTrac kit, I’ve been on it for over 4 months, no issues with the front end but had to modify the rear bumpstops to stop the bottoming out on dips, the kit has now settled and I sit 3.5 in the front and 4 3/4 in the rear, there’s...
Awesome thanks guys, yeah I’ve spoken with max trac and they weren’t even aware that we all have this problem, let’s see what they come back with but for now I’m going to go for an adjustable trac bar. One of the designers of the kit spoke with me and is going back to the drawing and possibly...
Finally put on my lowering kit. Used the max trac 2/4 kit but went with the 3” setting up front, aligned ok, drop ended up being 3 1/4 up front and 4 1/8 out back.....question is though, anyone else find their trac bar is too long by like 1/4-1/2”? My back drivers side wheel sticks out about a...
3 sheets to the wind right now and tried doing blue lol...……...yeah im no artist....stopped after the first wheel...……..not good...………...I think its time to hide the beer for the rest of this evening lol...cut off.
LOL! yeah plastidip can be a 1 way street sometimes lol been there, but when I learned the actual amount..... 1 can+ per rim! lol, stuff comes off easy on a simple design rim, but looking at the rims you did, yeah it must have been a nightmare to get it out of the tiny bolts all the way...
I just plastidipped mine black, I have the same rims as you...…..i'd go plastidip first and see if you like it then spend the $$$ when you're happy with it. Send me a side shot like this and i'll photoshop my rims onto your truck lol
A little help from photo shop, this is where im trying to get to using the maxtrac and ihc drops together, use the maxtrac down 1" w/ ihc control arms up front and out back the full ihc 6" drop w/ possibly a c notch and 1/2" more clipped off the spring...….I'm thinking it would settle around...
I did the heater hose idea on a 2008 ford ranger I dropped 6/9 a few years ago using DJM and belltech kits, but I didn't use heater hose, I used Teflon hose. I tried using gas line hose prior but it squeaked like a boss once the wd-40 wore off the hose, the Teflon hosing slides easier and...
The maxtrac kit could help out on a slight drop...…. its and adjustable coilover up front and 4 inch springs, I was thinking of using an ihc 4/6 kit, c notch and coilover in the front and going 5/7, my ram doesn't have the active air dam...….
