Question - I just picked one up hoping it will reduce vibrations around 2000 RPM. Do you have that issue with your truck? Does it seem like it vibrates less with the intake. Thanks in advance for the info.
Just an update - I’ve worked though another FCA Customer Care case only to be told that the V6 vibration felt in the steering wheel and pedal are characteristics of the vehicle and the vehicle is operating as designed. I’ve received no customer support on the issue and have been told to go away...
I’m told all V6 models vibrate and the uncomfortable vibrations felt through the steering wheel and pedal are normal and the vehicle is operating as designed. After two FCA Customer Care cases, no one has cared and tried to help resolve the problem. Good luck to those that are still trying to...
After 2 FCA Customer Care Cases, I’ve had no luck. Technician acknowledged a problem but in my case told me that I should have bought the HEMI. Poor customer service - stuck with a 50k vehicle that vibrates at every gear shift and when cruising down the highway. Good luck to anyone else that is...
After 2 FCA Customer Care cases, I’m told that the vibration in V6 models at 2000 RPM is a “characteristic of the vehicle” and they will don nothing to fix the issue (because there is no issue). Keep up the good fight if you can. It’s about useless trying to get any support to resolve a problem...
My truck does the same - 3.6L vibration in steering wheel, gas pedal, drivers seat, floor around 2000 RPM while in gear/under load. It does not vibrate when in Park/Neutral
I have the same issue in my 3.6L ram. I have an appointment Monday and a case with FCA Customer Care. It “feels” like exhaust drone at around 1800-2000 RPM but I’m not sure it’s the exhaust. For my truck, the vibration exists in gear under load but not in Neutral/Park...
Yeah - something seems out of balance in the front end of my truck which is causing the vibration. I ruled out the exaust. Thinking front axle or transfer case...
is the 4WD TSB - 03-002-20?
Seems closely related “growling” sound from the front axle. We interpret as a vibration?
No real updates to share. Dealer acknowledges a problem but they’re not sure what it is and they don’t have enough to send to Chrysler for replacement parts. Frustrating, no doubt.
Yeah, this isn’t related to the radio/speakers. I’m asking about vibration from the engine or driveline. Trying to identify the source and from what I can tell, it seems to be an issue across all engine options, which leads me to believe it’s something with the driveline. I’ve seen reports of...
I have the same issue with my 3.6L - maybe you saw my posts asking about it. I’m going in for first oil change next week, maybe I’ll ask about trans fluid levels... Does your truck also vibrate/buzz at around 2000 RPM when under load? But not when in neutral? I’m trying to figure out if the...
Same here, although my Ram is equipped with the 3.6L V6. Vibration around 2000 RPM while vehicle is under load, not while in Neutral. Felt in the steering wheel, floor, seats, gas pedal. I have about 5000 miles on the truck now... It doesn't appear to be exhaust drone - maybe something with the...
I have been experiencing vibration issues in my truck, and I believe I’ve narrowed it down to the front transfer case or components in the driveline for the front two wheels. If I am in 2WD or 4WD Auto, I experience vibrations at around 2000 RPM. I also experience the shudder in 4WD Auto...
I think I figured out where the source of the vibrations @ 2000 RPM in my truck are coming from - the front transfer case. I needed to switch into 4HI this past week and after a bit of driving, the vibrations reduced. After switching back to 2WD the vibration returned. I don’t know the mechanics...
That’s odd that it’s normal behavior. The first dealer I visited did not acknowledge a problem, but did apply TCM updates. But, the behavior remains so I’m taking to another dealer for a 2nd opinion. Seems like a torque converter problem to me. But I’m not the OP, just sharing my experience.
Yeah, I'm not sure exactly where it's coming from, but the engine in my truck definitely vibrates a whole heck of a lot while idling, including the driveline. All the motor and transmission and body mounts look good - nothing touching as I can tell, and the heat shields are all secure. The...
Did you recently take the truck in for service? Looks like the mat was cut by the service techs due to the floor mat/pedal recall. You’ll likely be in line for new mats when they are available...
