Thought I'd share what Renae at MD told me. Do note I have not yet received my truck, so no direct shipping experience. However, she said the carrier's insurance covers any damage that is clearly on them, eg getting a ding on the door when loading it or the like, but if it gets caught in a nasty...
I ordered on 03/11, got an estimated build date of 04/22 about a week later, so getting the BS notification by 05/02 is not too bad given the various production delays and shifts sent home etc I saw mentioned a couple times over the past few weeks.
Have you guys seen these people : Green Diesel Engineering - Diesel Performance Tuning Products USA
I'm going to be a diesel Rebel owner in a few weeks time ( hopefully, if it gets built on time ).
On the one hand I'm nervous about messing with the engine computer on a nearly 70k truck, but...
I suppose a new vehicle from the factory will come with the latest and greatest worst EPA-mandated fixes ? I have a Rebel EcoD on order, not yet built, presuming it'll get the same software as is being foisted on you guys who already have your trucks ? I guess I won't know what I'm missing since...
Love that color, it's Patriot Blue isn't it ? I've a Rebel on order and every time I see Patriot Blue I think "dang, I wish they offered that color on the Rebel" - which they don't. Renae told me that in her view the Rebel is a more sporty trim while Patriot Blue is a more serious color, and...
Thanks for sharing the shipping update. given your're shipping enclosed carrier in the current environment, that's not as bad as I feared ! I'll be shipping to Oregon some time in mid to late May I think - have an estimated build date of 4/22, by the time it gets out of the factory, shipped, and...
This is interesting - never heard of this thing till I saw some mention of the TazerDT on another thread on here somewhere, so had to google to see what it was, and landed up back on the forum on this thread ! That fact that it has an option to disable the fog light drop out makes it worth it to...
I thought it was "standard operating procedure" for any dealer to always give a full tank of gas on sale of a new vehicle. I've only done two brand new vehicle purchases in the past ( one in '07 and one in '15 ) and in each case they fully gassed up the vehicle before we drove off.
I noticed...
Thanks for posting the review. I have a '22 Rebel on order and your review confirms I won't be disappointed ! It'll be a first truck for me to and I'll also be meandering around the forests of the PNW in mine !
I was confused by this too. I still have his email, here verbatim are his words from his email to me :
"invoice is 59362 so your net price is 58174 plus 85 doc fee and 8.75 ca tire fee, if I ship the car to you (via normal carrier). or if you flew down to pick it up, I would have to charge, tax...
What kind of records do you keep, if any, for warranty purposes ? Just receipts for your oil / filter purchases ? I've ordered a '22 Rebel with EcoDiesel and figure I should learn how to do this myself, as long as i'm not compromising warranty. I've done my own oil changes previously ( on my...
Here's a thread on another forum describing the oil change on the 3rd gen diesel. It doesn't seem that mysterious really! This thread doesn't cover the fuel filter though.

Hopefully doing it oneself...
So, first of all I haven't actually got mine yet. And with me being in Oregon, delivery from Mark Dodge is not going to be cheap. Especially with today's gas prices. Mark Dodge was cheaper than TuttleClick ( by the way, I found you have to talk to Rob, other sales people there can't give his...
Rob Trachtman at Tuttle Click CDJR in Irvine quoted me 2% under invoice with Tread Lightly membership. I finished up going with Mark Dodge, but Rob had a very good price and seemed a really decent guy from my interactions with him. He's at [email protected], send him your build and see...
Well, here's how I thought through it : I'm comparing the diesel to the Hemi, not the V6, so it's +$2200 for the diesel option. Hemi is +$2795 over the base model and diesel is +$4995, that's where I'm getting the 2200 extra from. And that's what I'm seeing on my re-order price as well. After...
Fair point, I've read the horror stories and also the awesome stories of EcoDiesel owners. Decided to roll the dice anyway ! I grew up with diesels ( in Ireland ). They were bullet proof. VW 1.9 TDI and 2.0 TDI engines in Passats seemed to run forever. Fantastic torque too. But these new ones...
Thought I's share an update on my damaged-in-transit Rebel ( paint and body damage from broken glass from a vehicle above it on the transporter ).
I decided to cancel and re-order. Had thought about trying to negotiate an additional discount, but decided against it.
Also, I've spent some time...
One other piece of data that further changes things a little in favor of the diesel is that the ramtrucks website isn't up to date for pricing. You noted that the diesel is +2700 over the Hemi, and that's indeed what the website has. But, if you go get an official POC from a dealer, you'll...
Thanks for this post. I did similar math to the post your're responding to and likewise estimated it would take me 5 to 6 yrs to break even on buying the diesel. However, I think I am probably under-estimating the "babying" of the hemi that will be needed. Especially since I drive a '07 Subaru...
