This is one of the reasons I bought a 6'4" bed. My bicycles will not fit straight on in the 5"4' bed making carrying more than one bike difficult. I see guys with 5'4" beds with bicycle racks in the trailer hitch.
Also if you fish or ski that extra distance may be the difference between being...
This is unfortunate to hear. I have a 2023 E torque and I do agree the E torque is more "Jumpy" than the non E torque trucks.
I wouldn't lose confidence in your truck. I've been a member on this forum and have been reading the threads every week for years and I have only seen a few of 48V...
I appreciate the follow up. I'm going to try to schedule my Ram into service to have them look at the hard shifting on take off. I also drove a 2019 and it had an extremely smooth drive train as did my E torque up until about 18k miles.
I'm hoping as a previous poster mentioned they can...
What year is your truck? I've noticed the past few days that when I first start my truck after it's been out in the sun that my front USB ports won't charge my phone but after reading your post I tried it again and realized once the interior cooled down from the AC they start to charge again...
It's interesting you mention the heat. I noticed my front USB ports don't charge when its too hot.
Occasionally I run into infotainment issues with carplay either not connecting or freezing and they have always been resolved by resetting the headunit. Just hold the power button on the volume...
I'm going to schedule a dealer appointment. It happens intermittently so maybe I can try to bring it to them when it happens so they can see it first hand.
I have a 2023 Laramie with 19k miles. I've started to notice sometimes when I plug in my phone to the USB and it wont charge. I've tried multiple different USB A and C cables in the front 4 ports under the infotainment and nothing will work.
When I plug the same cables into the USB port inside...
Mine is so intermittent I'm debating on if taking it in will just be a waste of time since it doesn't happen constantly. I'm thinking I'm going to take mine in when my schedule allows just to have them look into it. Maybe mine can be fixed with a software flash like one of the previous posters...
Yes, I took it to the dealer and mentioned it and they replaced the blinker switch and clock spring with zero hesitation. I also had my blower motor start to make a growling noise when i turned my AC on high and took it back to the dealer a second time where they put in a new fan motor assembly...
I figured I would add my experience since this thread is back at the top of the discussion. I've got a 2023 with approximately 18k miles and I'm starting to feel harsh transitions at low speed. I was reading from other posts that the E Torque trucks are programmed to put the transmission in...
For me it feels like the transition from the E torque to the gas motor is harsh. It appears when I leave slowly like creeping forward in stop and go traffic like when you are at a stop sign and you just need to move the truck one or two car lengths at a time at low speed. Watching my gear shift...
Keep me posted. I definitely do not enjoy feeling a drive train jerk when I'm trying to drive smoothly.
I hope mine doesn't get worse but currently I believe if I took it into the dealer they would tell me it's normal operation.
If it becomes predictable and reliable I'll stop in for a...
I'm not sure if I'm experiencing the same thing or not but I just rolled into 17k miles and I am experiencing a shock or harsh shift on my initial roll or from 1st to 2nd when driving casually at low speeds. If I take off with a bit more throttle everything works smoothly but when I'm in a low...
My big question is will the truck still work and function if the 48 volt battery fails. I'm assuming at some point replacement battery packs will stop being produced.
The move to the turbo 4 and 6 cylinder engines is due to mandated "emissions" standards. I don't think any of the manufacturers would have gone away from the V8 if they weren't forced.
