Count me as in favor of the knob. Eliminates clutter and something your arm/hand can bump up against. Also, I could give a rats behind what someone else thinks about my truck. Its usually petty jealousy on their part because their truck don't have one. Feel free to think F150.
I'm curious that you could place an order on 5/31 consisting of the Off Road package. Have you confirmed with your dealer that they were able to enter this build into the computer and generate a POC sheet?
They really don't need those heat vents on a 5.7 as much as they do on the 6.2 and 6.4 motors. I looked at a 2018 Durango R/T with a similar type vented hood and my biggest concern was that rain or melting snow, depending on where you live, drips straight onto the alternator and pulley. Can't...
You would be throwing away an excellent package. $795 gets you not just the AT tires and 1" lift (good for taller tires down the road) but an e-Locker rear, hill descent, full size spare, etc. Subtract the cost of the protection group and it really shines. On the lighter side, lets not forget...
Went to my dealer today with my contingency plan if for some reason the Rebels won't be hitting the lots for some time. My backup build was a Big Horn QC 4x4 w/Off Road Pkg and Black Appearance. My dealer was unable to build this truck because there was a yellow line through the Off Road Group...
Okay, lets see if this helps. I just started my truck and moved it around using Drive and Reverse. Next I pulled back up to my house, put it in Park, left it running, went into my house and buried the key fob in a far corner which should have been well out of range. I now went back outside, got...
Thats interesting. I note you have the key where I have the fob with push button start. Wonder if that plays a role in the difference or maybe the laws in Canada vs US regarding these things. Mine will keep running but won't shift out of Park. Its hard to get used to for me because I'm so use to...
On my 2016 Ram when I remote start it I cannot shift out of Park even with the KeyFob in my pocket. I have to put my foot on the brake and press the Start Button.
I'm reminded of an expression from years ago when someone defined the height of optimism as a flea floating down the river on his back with an erection hollering, "open the drawbridge"!
Hate when a dealer takes a good looking truck that shows 4x4 or Off Road badging and stuffs those damn step rails on it to defeat the whole idea of what the trucks designed for.
I like the part that says, "all the parts needed to START the build process..."! Now if we could only get them to say, " and FINISH the process...", that would be great. You'll have to forgive me but having to wait since March 7th for my Rebel is taking its toll and bringing out all these swipes...
I have been checking the quad cabs only while following this and thats why I was somewhat surprised when someone mentioned it also included an upgraded sound system which did not show in Level 2 for this build. As for having to pay for all colors except Red it seems they are taking a chapter...
That was posted online a while back. Tried watching it but the guy riding shotgun just wouldn't shut up and about put me to sleep with his reading from notes. I lasted all of about 8 minutes.
Just checked the configurator again and it now shows $3400 for level 2 with same equipment. So they have been screwing people out of a $1000 up until this change. Also, all paint colors except for red will cost you between $100 up to $500 (Ivory Tri Coat). The lesson to be learned here is to...
I'll sure be waiting on your response as the delay in my Rebel build may well play into all of this. I've suspected for a while that its strange they can build a truck yet it won't pass inspection. My thoughts went to supply issues that were simple bolt ons but unavailable because the suppliers...
Have a 2016 Sport Reg Cab with the 3.92 rear and it hauls butt on 87 octane without so much as a ping. Remember when you had to loosen your distributer and retard the timing? These engines today with computers can think and respond in a nano second to any input from light throttle to mashing...
Interesting you mention your 2016 GC. I have a 2016 Ram Sport Reg Cab and a 2017 Grand Cherokee and hate the heck out of that stop/start system. I'd be stopped at a light and look down and see 0 RPM reading and think it stalled then immediately press the start button like an idiot. Pushing that...
I should have picked up on this sooner and I apologize. Remove that copy of your POC that you posted ASAP. You're giving out too much personal info. Your name, address, VIN and VON are for your eyes and no one elses. If you are unable to delete it contact Jared the site Administrator and have...
Congratulations and welcome to the Rebel. One bit of advice, do not put any stock whatsoever in that estimated ship date. As I mentioned to another member they are just fillers at this time. When your vehicle gets beyond KZ ( actually on a rail car or truck ) then the new date you get will be...
