Awesome! When did you submit and get the first email(s)?
I submitted on the 10th, got an email the following Monday stating all was correct in the application, then got a follow up today saying it was approved by the Manufacturer, and to allow 8-10 weeks delivery.
Yours looks very dark - more like oil. Mine was greenish yellow and had a sticky/tacky feel. Ever since I wiped the small amount I still had on mine off last week, it has not returned. I think mine was either some kind of grease that would heat up and turn runny, or the excess transmission fluid...
My 2015 Grand Cherokee had Goodyear Fortera HL's on it, and they wore terribly, handled badly and were a mess in the rain or snow. I replaced them with Michelin Premier LTX, and those wore out extremely fast as well (they had a very soft rubber). I went to the Michelin Defender (used the tread...
I'm in the same boat. I like the camper top (a Suburban or Yukon XL was supposed to be my next vehicle until I got the RAM), but at the same time want to keep the truck usability that comes from the tri-fold tonneau. This is harder than any other decision I've ever made!
Here's how I do mine. I bought a 6" 'Made for iPhone' cable, so it has the chip in it to allow the device to recognize it (thanks for the proprietary nonsense, Apple..), and just put the phone in upside down. This also makes it easy to use my thumb print to 'unlock' the phone, so that CarPlay...
I'm sorry to hear that. I live within 15 minutes of Koons, and that's where we've bought our last 3 vehicles (two Jeeps and my new RAM). They are by far the friendliest and easiest dealer to work with in the area, and I spent almost a year looking at various full size SUV's and trucks before...
December 2018 build Laramie here, with tow package (as if that matters) and with 4300 miles, I have 0 brake noise. I am very sensitive to noises that shouldn't be there. Is there a build date range that is most affected by this, or has it been sort of random?
How secure are they compared with the BakFlip units? I've seen where folks can get in with a bent coat hanger. Looking at the Undercover personally though.
A huge WHITE truck to boot. I hope your wife recovers quickly. The damage doesn't look very bad from the pictures, a good sign that these trucks will hold up from impact. I would concur with other posters about letting FCA know that the seatbelt didn't tension.
RE: hot steering wheel - this is why some people cut the wheel left or right, just enough so that the top dead center is on the bottom when parked. I do this when parked into the sun as well.
I did 20% up front, 5% on the rears, and a 5% sun strip at the top of the windshield. Perfect level of darkness for me, can still see curbs at night when backing into spots with the mirrors. Had the same setup on my '15 Grand Cherokee as well.
Keep in mind when adding tint over existing...
Mine isn't actually cracked, but there is a very faint line on the surface of the plastic there, that sort of follows where your crack is. Something tells me the mold for this item puts a deficiency of some kind in that area, leading to cracks. We'll see if mine ends up cracking or not.
I went with coils because I got sick of the air ride in my Grand Cherokee not working anytime it got below 30 degrees. Plus, it was the only major failure that car had - total failure at 17k miles, but the dealer did get it all fixed in 2 days.
A trick I was taught on the Jeep Grand Cherokee WK2 forum was turning the ignition all the way to "on" without actually turning the vehicle on, jabbing the gas pedal once quickly, and immediately turning back off. This apparently would reset the throttle input as it calibrates to the user. Might...
Plus there's likely a data collection incentive for the Manufacturer as well, they would like to know who is buying their vehicles after coming off a different brand, or if someone else in the household could be marketed into a FCA vehicle. I traded in a Jeep for my RAM, but we also have an Audi...
Northern Virginia here, paid $2.99 per gallon of Midgrade last night at a Shell station. Was the cheapest name brand gas within 5 miles of my home. Glad the truck's finally broken in enough to get decent gas mileage, now that prices are creeping up!
Grease can sweat a little bit, probably just normal. But, do what I do - I take mine to the dealer for every little thing I find, just so it's documented. :)
