You can shave off the rough casting of the front calipers with a grinder and then any 18” wheel with sticky weights will fit. There is plenty of meat on those calipers
I have a 2020 quad cab Big Horn and there was a little more work involved to get the back seats to fold down. I removed both back seats entirely because I found that the brackets that are next to the doors did not swivel like the inner brackets—preventing this mod to work. There is a steel tube...
I get my parts through my family's body shop. They get better prices and free shipping on parts than online stores. Most folks I've seen seem to buy their parts online.
Nice detective work, Biesty. Strange how there's so much discrepancy in these part numbers. The part number I used is 57008588AA and looks like the shortest one, and fit perfectly on my 2020 quad cab. I hate how there doesn't seem to be a definite answer on which ones are meant for which exact...
Here is my parts list for the 26 to 33 gallon swap. Waited a week to post to make sure that everything is working as it should.
$187.60 - 68408875AD - 33 Gallon Fuel Tank
$20.77 - 52030458AB - 3rd Strap
$14.30 - 68418923AC - Tank reinforcement bracket
$17.76 - 57008588AA - Vapor Tube
$34.91 -...
I got fed up with waiting for the evap canister to get off backorder and found some in stock on ebay. Figures they went with the slowest shipping option possible. Ordered it April 30 and estimated to arrive May 10... Looks like it is being driven all the way across the country instead of flown...
I went for the slightly used route to look for a deal. Retail price on my truck was $40,075 according to their paperwork, with a listing price of $32,415. A “savings” of $7,660. With “accessories,” government fees, processing/documenting fees, and taxes, the new total was $37,051. I told them I...
I plasti-dipped all of my chrome, looks factory imo. Just have to be careful about stuff hitting it or it'll gouge it up. It took lots of painters tape to make the job clean. For the door handles I used some black plastic covers. They fit like a glove...
Your questions are very valid. The reading I did never had a definitive answer on what is the most accurate way to measure your exhaust temperature, but it seemed the ol' thermometer in the tailpipe was good enough for everyone who did it to their cars. I had that feeling as well, that surely...
Tally another one under success stories. Didn’t even have to disconnect the battery after using AlfaOBD. Passive Entry was in my 8.4 menu w/o Nav immediately. Thank you everybody!
Yes I removed the piece of pipe that connects the header Y-pipe to the muffler, where a stock resonator would be. Just to make it easier cutting and welding. I measured, test fit, and marked with it on the truck though. And yes, a quad cab but I guess that is a short crew cab.
After much research and being bombarded with “You’re crazy. That’s not gonna do anything. That’s a waste of time” when telling older gear heads about j pipes, I got a j pipe made and installed. And......... it freaking works. Math doesn’t lie.
For those who don’t know what a j pipe is, also...
Have had the truck 2 months as of today and loving it. Traded in my Charger and can never go back. Glad I found this forum. There is more than a wealth of knowledge here.
Hi all, I'm trying to compile a parts order and am running into a problem with confirming the right vapor tube. It seems everyone who has done it successfully is using 68307831AB and one stated it's for crew cabs. While using factorychryslerparts' website to check for fitment on my 2020 quad...
