You don’t know what you are talking about, I have now experimented with the faulty AC on both my 2019 and my 2020 with valves hacked into both of them. I’m well aware that you have no heat with the valve closed completely off but that’s the only way you can get cold AC instead of this 50 +...
Yeah partial clamping or cracking the valve defeats the purpose, you will still have 200+ deg coolant going to the core and blending with your cold air. That’s what makes it so easy to understand what the flaw is in these trucks AC system..
Ok so I got everything working again. I had no access to my Sirius XM, the button was on the screen but it would not do anything when I pressed it. I unplugged the negative battery cable and left it undone for about 30 min. Then I plugged it back in. I started the truck and the Siriusxm button...
Hold the two bottom left and right icon buttons at the same time and then go to system info. This update that messed mine up was actually a damn recall I think. But it wasn’t done at the dealer, it was done over the air.
Just trying to prevent some of you from the disaster that some of us are facing with this most recent software update on the 12.1 Uconnect radios. There’s a thread in the Uconnect section of this forum with the details but basically the update is bricking the radios and they are on back order...
What’s worse is think about how costly a mistake this is going to be all in the name of a stupid update! I had absolutely zero issues with my radio until the update?
I recently had the message that an update was available for my radio. The update performed and I’ve had problems since! The whole first day after the update Sirius, fm and am radio as well as the Bluetooth wouldn’t work. Today I started the truck and it read sirius xm loading for 25 miles. I...
I wish that were true but each individual truck has its own components, and no two trucks perform identically. My buddy traded in a 2019 Limited ORG with 3.92 full length box and no etorque and his mileage was really bad, he struggled to get 16 on the highway. The first highway trip in my new...
If you own another vehicle set the AC to max AC check the temperature of your vents, then clamp the heater core coolant line and you will see that your AC will not blow 7-10 deg colder. This isn’t rocket science.
I do not and It scares me to death what would happen with the quality of technicians at most Ram dealerships if they started doing so. I do however understand how the HVAC box and blend doors should function. I worked in dealer service when I was younger and I honestly could say that with 15...
I disagree, I think that some trucks just simply get better mileage than others. I have damn near the same truck he does except no Etorque and I even installed heavier taller tires than stock and I get quite a bit better fuel mileage than he does. I towed a 5000 lb travel trailer 200 miles over...
I disagree, the issue is pretty damn consistent, there’s only been a handful of owners that posted mid 40’s or colder AC vents where as the majority of owners here report low 50’s as the coldest temps possible. We also have a bunch of owners that state it works good enough even though it could...
Ever since the inadequate AC performance came up on this forum guys have tried to over analyze everything from panoramic sun roofs, ceramic tint, Uber big cabs, vented seats, air flow dynamics, etc. The bottom line is the blend doors aren’t closing all the way on the heater core side of the box...
It’s so funny that the AC threads somewhat went away during the winter months and now that it’s warm again there is no less than 6 threads active again in the forum discussing the AC issues in these trucks.
Man I feel bad for some of you. I just got back from a 400 mile trip towing a 5200 lb camper and got 10.5 going there running 87 fuel and 12 coming back. running 85 fuel, I crossed 3 mtn passes in the 10,000-11,000 ft elevation each way, not too bad IMO.
you are correct. I posted a while back about how me and another buddy bought 5 th gen new body styles and another buddy bought a 5th gen classic. We all work together and one day in 95 deg temps we went out and checked all 3 trucks AC and my buddies classic blew colder than both of our 5th gens...
Bingo! It used to irk me when new truck owners would talk about the AC having to work soooooo hard because of how “BIG” the cabin is and how many windows (?) the truck has, every single truck I’ve owned for the last 12 years was as big or bigger than this truck, those arguments are nonsense...
