Yeah ok
Ignorance? The only ignorant thing in this thread is the cancerous thought that a 1500 is a great 5er tow vehicle.
Whether in Iraq towing a sh*t ton more than your 1500 and not down the roads of small town USA, to my time hot shot hauling classic cars or my 5er and TT experience its...
I have no issues with the 1500 towing
...
In the correct configuration
I own a 1500 that I pull an ATV and small utility trailer behind it and not much else. That’s my choice though I know a small bumper pull could be a viable option as well given my set up (3.21 rear among others things)...
5th wheel towing with a half ton is a funny thing. I make sure to give all you an extra wide birth.
Or I just wait until a heavy wind slows you down, or a hill, or any condition where stress is placed on the truck and trailer combo.
9995 GVWR with a coiled rear spring 1/2ton is stupid (even...
How many miles?
Trim level on the 2500?
Smell up front or rear?
Pop the hood at all?
How heavy was the trailer?
Weather conditions and ambient temp?

Wife loves them as it’s her truck. Said just a little rougher but not bad at all. I say it’s a good trade off personally.
After personally driving it, it’s no P tire but it feels far more planted and in a good way. It’s stout and sturdy and it feels like a truck should. They look great and...
For those who are curious on braking, this is good starting point with an RV.
1) Set the brake controller to your gain (whatever feels right) with an empty trailer
2) Put your truck in Drive but keep your foot in the brake
3) Grab the brake controller slider and squeeze it
4) let off...
NM offers some very interesting towing situations. High desert, high elevation mountain passes, wind wind wind
I appreciate the color as well and thanks. I like the look and it’s not a common color, at least I don’t see many.
BC is no joke especially on that trailer set up you had ha. Funny...
If you are mistaken I’ll be a happy to clear it up a little.
A 5th wheel with a 1500 coiled rear suspension in ANY case (other than 1 I saw that was a custom built with a single axel unit) is FOOLISH at best
I don’t give a damn about the wheels tires (I lied I care about tires too) paint...
2500 with a lot of options will kill your payload
For a 37 footer at 10k I would even suggest a 3500 SRW
I have a 3500 Megacab and am sitting at 3987 lbs of payload. I also have a 37’ 5er at 14,000 lbs. arguably DRW territory
That said here are my thoughts
A 2500 can be a good option...
Getting close to taking mine in.
Feels like it’s pulses on acceleration
Also I hear ticking in the engine before it gets warm.
12800 miles

I’ll admit it has been some time since I have had to look at trade in prices on new vehicles. However your numbers might be zip code dependent. Also, with rams sales going up and up the demand will change some return on vehicles.
I hope you’re data point is the same reflected across the nation...
