You need it if you have anti spin. I have the same rear end. I did amsoil severe gear 75w 140 in the rear with 4 oz mopar modifier even though Amsoil says it has it.

I bet battery if it's 12.9 while driving. These trucks are very sensitive to a weak battery.

It could be. Check under your back seats too. That's where mine got really wet. There are several places to check. I sucked any excess water out with shop vac, sprayed everything with Lysol to prevent or kill mold/mildew and hung a damp rid bag in the cabin.
