    Updated 2" Mopar Lift/Level Kit - Discussion

Depends, you could do a motofab 1/2 lift block, or you could do the 1” off road spring. The 1/2 block probably will not change ride at all, the 1” ORP spring may stiffen things up a touch.

    Updated 2" Mopar Lift/Level Kit - Discussion

Take a pic with the wrapper off, yours looks like it has a black portion on the bottom of the shock above the fork, where ours (including j wileys) is silver. His also has two rings according to his pic. Also, look at the part number list in your user manual, check what part number your strut is.

    Updated 2" Mopar Lift/Level Kit - Discussion

I’ll have my shocks off maybe this weekend. I can measure them off the truck if you’re interested in waiting to see what my measurement was. We can trade phone numbers to compare photos

Two rings on mine. But the measurement should remain unchanged, it wouldnt really compress any further.

The ring or the perch (the perch is the cup looking thing and it is tapered side to side)? I’m at 10” all the way around the black ring to the center of the bolt. 10.5” from the ring to the bottom of the strut. Here’s a photo from where I’m measuring.

Kelderman makes aftermarket stuff for the 2500's. Super expensive, but probably better (and cheaper) than trying to add an OEM air suspension, which i'm not even sure they make for the 2500's https://kelderman.com/shop/?p=1&vehicle_make=28&vehicle_model=46&vehicle_year=91

I’ll check on mine tomorrow morning and report back. That would be something if the AB kit was the same.

The picture you posted of your strut has two rings installed, I can see both of them under your spring perch. Barely, but you can see bottom of the top ring and where it meets the bottom ring.

The only way it wouldn't is if the shock were longer. Can you measure from the bottom hole of the strut, to the bottom of the ring perch? I will measure mine and we can compare.

2019+ Rams with Lifts/Levels, and/or aftermarket wheel tire setups

Mopar 2” (updated) with 35x12.5x20 on a 20x9 et 1 fuel rebel. I’ve got ORP springs in my shop, I’ll probably get around to install them this week or next at some point.

Here’s an example of a truck with one ring, non updated kit. See how the spring perch sits lower on the shock body?

    Updated 2" Mopar Lift/Level Kit - Discussion

Crawl under your truck and look beneath the spring perch. You’ll see either one or two black rings. If there’s one, you have the earlier kit. If there’s two, you have the updated kit. I’m not convinced they’ve made any other changes to the kit in regards to shock length. Here’s an example of...

    Bilstein 5100

For anyone DIY’ing their own front lift, i would highly recommend getting this type of ball joint separator. Makes things very easy.

nearly anywhere should be able to do it, just find a place well rated that has done struts before. Make sure your setting is where you want it, don't depend on them set it to the right height. 4wp is crazy-expensive. I recently did a guy's lift at my place for 450 dollars in which they quoted...
