Thanks good to know I’m on the right track. I test fitted it yesterday, and it fit well without any bolts in the sides (I left the cab side bolts in) and I slid the gator cover in between no issues. So I’m assuming if I can get the bolts flush I should be A ok.
the gator trax is the same as the...
In the process of getting the gator recoil to work with the right on brackets. It will not fit with the original bolt heads sticking out , so I am going to chamfer the holes and run a socket head flat Allen cap bolt on the bracket. I will post back tomorrow.
this will be the most affordable...
9 hours good god, I did mine in my garage start to finish in 3.5. I usually charge 400 to install front shocks and rear blocks. Don't have access to an alignment rack or else i would do those too.
The truck needs to be torqued under load.
They need to be torqued only when under load, not while the truck is in the air. I would loosen them up under load then retorque
thanks! Do you think you’d be able to slot the holes so we could adjust them down further? When i test fitted the lomax, it appears that it would work well if i slotted my (countertop) bracket so it was able to clear the rail of the lomax.
Thanks!
Also i am nearly certain any wildpeak thats an OEM spec tire is not quite the same as the AT3w...I thought the same thing when i was purchasing them. I thought if they are an OEM spec they must be halfway decent. I was wrong!
I think the Goodyear wrangler ultra terrain comes in a 285/65/20. They look awesome, and have a great price point. Those were going to be my backup tire If the 35x12.5 ridge grappler was too much tire for me. The ridge grapplers are awesome (I’m on my 3rd set), quiet and aggressive looking but...
I'd shy away from the wildpeaks. The two sets i have had discount tire and another local place could never get them balanced. All 8 tires took over 25lbs on the road force balance which is unacceptable. Their price is nice, but just crap to balance
If you create a 2" with the .5" coming off the top (so recess is .5 from the top of the rail), that may allow use for more tonneaus. I think the lomax is close with the counter top style brackets...
I don't think that trailer is 200 lbs...maybe you meant 1200 but that is pushing it as well. Nice setup though, I have a camaro I tow on my 20' 1400 lb aluma trailer. Tows wonderfully.
Dang you're nearly 2" higher in the front than I am without the ORP spring.
I would have them check the sway bar end links, that is usually the cause of rattling, or if they did not tighten the top hat to strut nut.
