My drivers seat fans (top and bottom) were replaced under warranty for the exact same issue you're having. Make sure they order all the fans *top and bottom for the seats so they have all the parts necessary. Oh , also tell the Tech not to break the clips that hold the leather on the seat frame...
As I said above, they did replace the loud seat fan under warranty. But mine was more than just loud, it was a terrible grinding sound. So far, so good but its not summer yet so I haven't really used it much lol
For the creaking noise, take a look under the truck and look for a bundle of wires running the length of the truck. Try stuffing some socks or cloths in between them and the floorboard. I know it sounds crazy lol but it has been a known source of the creaking for a couple people, including...
Its funny because I just pulled mine out to clean it and that idea never came to me but it actually makes a lot of sense. Think I will be doing this tomorrow. Thanks !
Mine do this intermittently too. At one point, the steps were deploying and retracting randomly, 1-2 times as I would be driving away at slow speed lol it was kind of embarrassing. Took it to the dealer and they couldn't do anything but I think they reset the battery and it fixed that exact...
The ventilated seats are fairly loud normally but more of just a blowing noise (my old 4th gen and new 5th gen) but the noise I'm experiencing and the OP, I believe, is a different noise. It's like a loud grinding sound that sometimes is there, sometimes not. The dealer did hear my noise and is...
It's not dual pane as in double glazed like house windows. Its single laminate glass with 2 panes (as in twice the glass, panoramic etc.) 1 pane slides, the other is fixed.
You can use anything thats plastic and can pry behind the trim piece that goes around the vent. Be careful not to scratch the material though. Better off if you buy an auto trim tool set off amazon or something and use that. Takes a little pressure to start popping out but then it's easy. I've...
I would just pop the whole thing out and try to put it back in straight. The whole vent and bezel pop out pretty easy with a trim tool. At the very least you'll be able to see any issues behind it.
I would love if someone took pics of their truck with this ground issue so we could all check our own trucks. Wondering if this is causing some of my issues.
Good luck man! Hope it all comes back looking as it did. This is the exact reason I'm trying to fix all my irritating noises myself because I dont trust the dealership taking apart my dash etc. On my last truck, my evaporator core was leaking and they had to pull the dash to replace. I told...
