The guy in that Ford video was using 3/8th inch which would be closer to 10mm. However, if you were able to double it up I wonder if 13mm which is closer to 1/2 inch would work best?
I’ve had an ArmorFlex for close to five years now, it was originally on my 2019 then switched it to my 2021 fits snug. Only issue I’ve had was one of the clips that holds the prop rods stowed against the rail broke, but Undercover sent me 4 new ones no problem.
I had that issue on my 2019. Thanks to a few members posting on a different thread I adjusted the passenger side striker bolt where the tailgate latches. I only had to move mine about 1/16th inch rearward and it took about 5 minutes. Never had the issue again.
Might have to do with the financing. Looks better to the bank that the borrower is putting more money down versus just getting a good deal on a vehicle.
