Hmmm... looking at the factory diagram for the 33 gallon tank, it only shows provisions for two straps. If you look at the diagram that shows all the parts that go with the 33 gallon tank, it only shows 2 straps... and it looks like there are only two locations on the tank to accommodate...
ANC UPDATE!
My wife and I made about an hour round trip last night to eat out and I was noticing more engine noise than what I am use to hearing. Keep in mind, I'm paying a lot more attention to noises than I should be. Thought maybe I had the polarity wrong on the front speakers. So I...
Yeah... I don't think the base system amp is going to be sufficient enough to crank those speakers that loud. I'm not that familiar with the base system, some other might chime in concerning those, but my guess is that you'll have to put some better power on the system if you really want "loud".
Very glad to help... and I've learned a lot here as well. Great forum!
So... it appears the reverse engineering and connecting the front factory speakers back up works for engaging the ANC again.
Here is what I did... the ANC harness normally removes the mic input to the amp and leaves the...
Yep... you are right. But there has to be a reason my sticker clearly shows it being part of the eTorque option, and why most everyone is getting the 23 gallon tank with eTorque. Perhaps it was the only option at some point. Dunno... it is what it is.
Sure it's true for what I was building out, which is the crew cab. I'm referring to the crew cab... have been the entire time... as I mentioned "my truck" and "these", both referring to the crew cab.
If you look back at what most of these guys have that are claiming 23 gallon on the eTorque...
Yeah... dunno... that is odd for sure. If you build a 2019 Limited right now, the 26 is not an option for the eTorque. It could be that the dealer is able to order it with the 26 on their end. I know back when I was ordering Ford F150's... the dealer had some options not available on the Ford...
When dealers are building these out without the eTorque, and the 26 gallon is a $0 option, it is natural for them to select it, which is why 99% of the trucks without eTorque come with the 26 gallon tank. However, if they are building out the unit with eTorque, it's not an option. If you...
Dunno... can only tell ya what mine is, a crew cab with the optional eTorque and the 23 gallon tank ... and the tank is listed as part of the eTorque option.
ANC thinking... if you are reading this... hang with me for a minute, then help me think this through. So the ANC is part of the amp in the HK and Alpine systems. It is feed by the mic inputs into the amp, processed and sent thru the speaker output wires to the speaker. I don't understand how...
Absolutely... gpcaraudio.com ... they were about the only place I could find that did not charge tax, although I did not look too terribly far. Seems like most everyone else was around $10 more too, plus tax.
I ordered an upgraded higher capacity battery (Northstar) for my truck audio system, which I had been planning on doing anyway. I got to thinking, this should be some help for parking mode. It's a starting/reserve battery combined, so it should provide better performance with the dash cam...
Ordered up a higher capacity battery as an added precaution, and to help with the parking mode on the dash cam that I ordered as well (it will give it more recording time). I've had several of these type batteries over the years, Kinetic (who only make caps now), XS Power and Optima. This time I...
