You could try an over the rail tool box to visually shorten it or maybe a roll bar. This isn't the 6'-4" bed but kind of gives you an idea of how the tool box changes the look.

My dealer had a glass company come in to the dealership to fix it, which I think is pretty standard. I've not had any trouble with it since it was replaced. I hope you have the same luck with yours.
I've had my Pedal Commander for about 2 years with no problems so far (knock on wood, dance on one leg under a pale full moon in july after rattling chicken bones over a bon fire☘️). It does a really good job of hiding the acceleration lag.
