I have been a boat owner since 1994 and this is boat #6 and that is partly true if you don't know the brand and also don't do most of your own maintenance/repairs. I do almost all my own maint but parts are also another story in expensiveness $$$
If you tow a boat, and in my case a boat that weighs lots more than the truck, 4x4 is a must. Slippery boat ramps with anything greater than 13 Degree angle and you will regret not having 4 wheel drive very quickly. Side note, I pulled a 2 wheel drive expedition with his boat up a ramp in 4...
You can't go wrong with M1 oil or filters. After seeing the chemical analysis I switched to PUP full synthetic just because it performed a little bit better.. Worth the extra $$?, that is debatable, but since I am holding on to the truck for longer than after it is paid for, I wanted the best...
I can confirm that there is an updated model and they installed it into my truck. Now 11 months later, (Mar. 20 2020 replacement installed part #68426398AC) both sides are cracked again on the new model part. On a side note, neither of my windows have ever leaked from the cracks.
I have towed a little bit smaller than that, but ex's don't count.... or do they?? They are kinda like something always on your rear and a boat anchor slowing you down... :ROFLMAO:
I am very happy with the air ride and it rides better than the traditional coils for smoothness. The auto level is great and the ability to raise and lower the truck 6 inches is handy at times for loading and once in a blue moon clearance height. ***As a bonus feature the air release valve...
It certainly isn't easy to get the best deal. My last two Rams I got way better of a deal than my 2019. My 2000 (Quad, SLT 4x4, 5.9, Sunroof) I got 30.4% off MSRP, and my 2007 (4x4, 3.92, Laramie, Sunroof, Hemi 5.7MDS) I got 31.2% off MSRP. My 2019 I got 19.1% off MSRP. I ordered my 2000...
This is a no brainer. No reason to risk your truck after the free oil changes are all used. Change it myself with the PUP and Purolator filter or K&N Gold. No worries about wrong anything or letting them prematurely wear out my truck components. I have seen the crossthreaded plug, filter...
If you leave your truck in any level other than Normal when you park it, the Air Suspension likes to continuously re-level itself as the ambient temperature changes or the wind tilts the truck. There should be an update that fixes this but I don't think it exists yet.
Question for those that have the PC. In Sport +4 with 4WD AUTO on and e-Torque with 3.92 gears, do you smoke or squeal when mashing the gas pedal from a stop? Also have any of you timed your 0-60 with this setup? Looking to get this and wondering what it will be like with 3.92 and e-Torque.
That is sad.... I am looking to move to a 3500 SRW and have seen the video of the steering column not centered on the drivers seat with the 2500/3500 Gen 4 cab. I was waiting for a Full 5th Gen 3500... I will continue to wait..
It appears you already have most of them according to your signature block. The only thing I can think of is tires with less rolling resistance for you to mod.
Sweet Truck BTW!
After 45,000+ miles I am getting about 15.2-15.5 MPG overall. I am happy with the fuel economy compared to my 2007 1500 Hemi 4x4 3.92 that was getting 13.8-14.2 MPG overall and the new truck is about 200 Lbs Heavier.
