Since there is a backorder on roofs my truck is going to have dimples for a while... Last hailstorm 3 years ago was PDR. This last one was new roof, hood, both quarter panels, 3 out of 4 doors, and half the truck bed cut off and welded back on..... So Instead of keeping it after it is...
Do you know what problems are popping up on 2023 trucks? Just curious if there are things to look out for on my 2024 ordered truck. And since I saw it in your signature, how are you liking the MFT? That was the only option that I didn't order but considered.
Ordered a Diamond Black 2024 1500 4x4 Hemi eTorque, Limited, 3.92, Anti Slip, Night Edition, Level 1, BUG, Ramboxes, Trailer Tow group, Trailer mirrors, Pano, 33Gal, from Mark Dodge to replace my 2019!
My 2019 "Smart Alternator Software" caused me to have a dead 12V battery a few months after I bought the truck back in Summer of 2019. The software module needed an update because it wasn't telling the Alternator when to come on and charge. No problems since the software update.
I am pretty sure that the leaky back window doesn't plague any 2022 or newer trucks. The manifold bolts I believe were upgraded for 2023 (Not 100% totally sure). So brand new you should be well covered. I had the leaky window twice (under warranty) until the latest part number which has gone...
My truck is one of the first run 5th Gen which was built in August 2018. Love it but got a hailstorm that should’ve totaled it but insurance said it didn’t which is nuts considering the damage. While I am waiting on a new roof to come in to replace it I ordered a new truck that I will trade...
I have a order number (59746860) but not a VIN yet for my order put in on the 17th. Hopefully they got everything correct on my build sheet! Excited to get the new tech, Ram Boxes, and Night Edition.
True statement there. Fan Speed doesn't equate since it blows faster on Auto than on 7. Vents open and close when taking corners in the truck and they release cold air in during winter when the heat is on. Only way my A/C really works well is with the hose clamp hack but when I forget to...
I always fill it up. Less risk of condensation in the tank that way. Same with my boat, always top it off and add a Stabil 360 Marine additive before it goes to hibernation for 5 months and it always starts right up on the first crank after winter is over.
Good luck with your scavenger hunt to get it just right. I just ordered a 2024 Diamond Black Limited 4x4, Level 1, Night Edition, Trailer Towing Group, 3.92, 33 Gal, Pano Roof, Ram Boxes, and Bed Utility Group because I have only found one in white that had the trailer tow mirrors with 360...
The snap on mirrors vibrate and are also manual adjusted and sometimes they start to move out of alignment. They are a little hard to unclip off the mirror also and do leave some scratches after prolonged use.
I have the snap on mirror extensions but I am not that happy with them as they are a little cumbersome to take on and off compared to just flipping the mirror from horizontal to vertical.
They probably won't cover it unless you had it replaced under warranty like mine was. The replacement cracked and leaked and then they replaced it again out of warranty and the new one has no cracks and seems to be a better design. 2+ Months in and no cracks or leaks.
I haven't had any issues whatsoever and I live at 7,000 Feet elevation and the truck has been through 2 winters as cold as -15 F. Absolutely happy with the air suspension.
