Yup. Came to the same conclusion after I removed the liner but not the fender. Not sure how you were able to get the black silicone on the seam without removing the fender.

I just checked mine and yup I have the same leak on the driver side floor. Here are pictures showing the passenger vs the driver side. The driver side looks very similar to your picture Did you get it fix ?

Just be aware that the extended warranty starts the same day as the factory warranty and not after.

Definitely an error because the same piece on the passenger side is black. I'm not sure how hard would it be to swap this piece out.

Mine is a hybrid. My interior is all black except for this one little blue piece at the back of the driver seat.
