    Door key?

If you're suffering some kind of personal embarrassment from the this thread, you can save yourself future anguish by first referencing the book of answers that came with your truck.

    Hard-wire Dash Cam Install

Thanks again. I can always redo the rear cable routing. I'll leave as is for a bit and see if any good reason to reposition the camera presents itself. There's lots of minutia in the app settings. I'll have to do some reading. This is my first dash cam so of lot of the settings are a bit...

    Hard-wire Dash Cam Install

I Installed the BlackVue DR900X-2CH today. I ended up not using the bracket from TheDashCam Store. I removed the door sill plates and much of the surrounding trim to cleanly route and conceal the cable running to the rear camera. But as I feared, routing the cable down the pax A-pillar, under...

I really hope this is a joke...

    We're not all watching it.

I ordered the 2" version, based on the info in this post. Very generous of you. Thanks very much!

    Hard-wire Dash Cam Install

I just ordered the 2" Custom Folded Bracket For Secondary Dashcam from the The DashCam Store, to allow the rear camera to be centered. So I guess I'll wait a few more days before tackling this project :)

    Hard-wire Dash Cam Install

Thanks. I have fiberglass pull rods. No pano roof in my truck. I hadn't considered that's it's possible to route the cable to the rear camera in that manner. I'll have to to some exploring.

    Hard-wire Dash Cam Install

Thanks very much. And for the rear camera? As I posted a few posts up, I'd like to run the cable down the pax A-pillar, along the floor/sill and then back up to the headliner. Have you guys remove the sill plates or any additional trim? Or just tucked it all in with your fingers?

    Hard-wire Dash Cam Install

Thanks for the reply. I have plenty of plastic trim tools and I'm not fearing removing the A-pillars (though I appreciate the explanation). I'm just wondering if any trim other than the A-Pillar needs to be removed in order to conceal the cables? It sounds like you guys are just tucking the...

    Hard-wire Dash Cam Install

Thanks, but for that and other reasons, I'd prefer to follow the routing I quoted (down the passenger A-pillar and along the passengers side floor/sill).

    Hard-wire Dash Cam Install

My head is starting to spin with all of these long threads. I'd like to install my front and rear Blackvue cameras in the next day or two. With regard to routing and concealing the cables, other than the A-pillar covers which obviously must be removed, are you guys removing any trim in order...

What did you do to your Ram today???

    I think you missed the follow-up :)

Addressing Rock Chips Prior to PPF

His point is fair. Their business is applying PPF (and I think ceramic coating as well). They don't do paint or body work. Asking them to "try" to do passable paint touch up and expecting good results is tantamount to going to a body shop and asking them to apply PPF. It's not what they do...

Addressing Rock Chips Prior to PPF

I had a local body shop treat the chips with the touch-up pen. I figure he had a better shot at doing a good job than I could. The touch-ups are not invisible but it looks better than the chips. Now I just need to make it another week without picking up more chips prior to the PPF appointment.

    SiriusXM Plans & Strategy

One would think, but it's not listed. Ctrl+F search of the window sticker yields three occurrences of "Sirius" as shown above. The build sheet though shows "SiriusXM Radio Service." No term listed on the build sheet.

    SiriusXM Plans & Strategy

These are the three SiriusXM services listed on my window sticker. Interesting that there is no listing (that I can find) for six month "trial" of the the regular radio service.

    SiriusXM Plans & Strategy

LOL. Sounds like there needs to be an online course to get properly educated on the nuances of all of the SiriusXM/Guardian product levels.

What did you do to your Ram today???

BedRug mat for RamBox Bed. I had the full BedRug in my Silverado for 10 years and I'm a big fan but decided to try just the mat, since this truck has factory spray-in liner. Way too soon to draw a conclusion but I think BedRug could have put some more Velcro on the mat, closer to the edges.

    Door key?

Eureka! When Craig at Koons did my acceptance walk around, he told me the "traditional" key was unique only to the bed extender/divider and that only the key housed in the fob would unlock the driver's door and the RamBox lids. I specifically recall my incredulous reaction to this. It...
