Yes, I agree with you 100%. For me, i dont have the time to deal with the dealership, but I can understand the warranty argument. I still believe that you can source the parts yourself and have the dealer put them on if you like for much less than sourcing them from the dealer.
I am not in the...
Maybe, but I had fun doing it myself. I got all the parts frlor about $125 and spent a total of $100 for the stuff to install it, and now I have the hardware and software to do other mods and check codes in the future on my truck and the wifes jeep. For me it was better to just do it myself. I...
Has anyone actually installed the spacers and links on the air suspension for a 2019 Rebel? This question keeps coming up, and I keep seeing responses from people with Limiteds who have done this. The suspension setup (as far as I keep hearing) is different between the Rebel and the Limited, and...
I agree that it is annoying, but when they get all of the software figured out in the future it may allow you to add things like remote lowering of windows and stuff. If you are in the south Houston area I am certainly willing to help out by letting you come by and use mine for the flash...
I know people are going to disagree with me, but I assure you that is not how computers work. If you use alfaobd you are just changing set bits in the system to tell it that features have been installed. Even if they reflashed your ECU and it cleared those bits you would be able to reset it back...
I did a whole write up on this including how to flash at home...

Oh nice! I love my Rebel, super nice looking trucks. I see you also got saddled with the side steps that sit way too low...I keep meaning to pull mine off and see if I can mod the mounting bracket to make them fit closer to the cab. They dont seem to stand out as much on your truck as they do on...
I am wondering if there is a way these could be mounted on the arms of the mirrors. Seems like there is a whole lotta real estate there that I could tap into. Getting power to them might be a little trickier, and it is possible that it cant be done with the power folding and heat and whatever...
Yeah, this is a fact. I ran from Houston to San Antonio (leaving at about 4pm on a Friday) averaged 15.8mpg, but wasnt able to use cruise the whole time because of traffic. Averaged 68 mph for the trip. On the way home, I decided to step back a bit on the speed, 60mph average, and got 17.2. My...
but the Android auto and Apple Car Play on the systems is so excellent...i can control Spotify directly from my headunit and I dont have to have a separate MP3 player...
Looks just like my Bak MX4 (paid $700 installed for it but that is another story). I can tell you that if its seals perform the same then Houston showers are no match. My bed stays bone dry unless my wife tips the cooler over after it has been sitting in the sun all day.
Well. I have love my Rebel if that helps. It has a sunroof, but I honestly couldnt care less if it had one or not it was just how the truck was optioned on the lot. I absolutely agree that running boards can be added...matter of fact, I will sell you mine if you like...I am not a huge fan of how...
In the interest of using the data that I have available in my driveway. I have a very well optioned Rebel. It has pretty much everything including the 12A and air suspension. With all that jazz the door sticker tells me that my payload is 1511. So, If I had a trailer with a dry weight of 6000...
If you can get that price I would recommend you do it. I called 5 dealerships in the houston area and was quoted no less than 700 for parts and labor. I inquired about the price if I sourced the parts, 3 of the dealerships refused to install parts I bought elsewhere. The other 2 dealers quoted...
Step 11: Software Update using AlfaOBD
Follow all steps to sync your phone/tablet/computer to the Bluetooth/wifi device that you are using (your OBD2 reader, and again I recommend that BAFX one because it worked for me)
Locate the FCA Security gateway plugs, disconnect them, and plug them into...
Step 9: Get that plug free, and snap that brake controller into place
I used this highly specialized tool to free the plug from the grasp of the cloth tape. You can use any sharp pointy thing you have.
Now you can get that controller and snap it into the bracket that you installed earlier...
Step 8: Remove the plastic cover just above the driver side footwell. There are 2 screws holding it in and 3 or so clips on either side. Basically very similar to the center stack in removal. Just like in the center console you will want to remove all of the plugs. No need to do anything with...
