Stats are stats on the new engine and they are impressive, but getting the first generation of an engine...no thanks.
That being said, nothing sounds like a big V8 with exhaust. I would expect the new engine to do well, but it won't sound like a hemi or feel like one (see Ford's eco-boost 6...
You should be good. I recently rotated mine after 5k miles and the worn tire fit without airing it down. My recons are actually slightly larger than a 35x12.5 typically is and wider.
That is a good quality kit and you want the upper control arms for sure. You could step up to their full 3.5" SST kit instead and it isn't much more cost. I have been running it for a good while on 35's and it has been excellent. The truck drives like stock.
"Spacer lifts are garbage" I guess I had better change my setup after performing great for thousands of miles of wheeling, towing a 7,500lbs trailer and hauling stuff. I am poking fun and agree a full suspension system is far superior, but this Ready Lift 3.5" system has exceeded my...
I recommend the UCA's. After my first set of ball joints on the stock ones with a 2.5" level, I learned. I am running the Ready Lift ones now with a 3.5" kit and they are very well made.
I am running B2's muffler delete kit and very happy. The truck makes noise but isn't "loud" in my opinion. It is quieter than my buddy's F150 V8 with a Flowmaster and does not drone like his does.
I kept the resonators.
Yes and no I suppose. I am running spacers on this truck and ran them on my '13 RAM for many, many miles over the years. If one doesn't care necessarily about increasing suspension performance and just wants some height for tires, spacers aren't a bad choice for the cost savings. My '23 Ram...
The standard suspension will handle a good bit. I tow a 7,500lb TT but use a WDH. You can add aftermarket air bags for less than $200. My last Ram had them and my Gladiator has them.
35's will fit with proper wheels...I had to trim the rubber wheel well liner a bit but nothing a pair of snips could not handle. This s a 3.5" Ready Lift kit.
Being a bit of an old school wheeler, and a Jeeper, the mantra is smaller wheels. More sidewall rides better to an extent. Unfortunately, 18s are the smallest diameter wheel we can run on the newer Ram but work pretty well with 35's.
I haul a 7,500# trailer and use the truck for truck stuff.
3.5" Ready Lift spacer kit on 35's (true size), retained stock shocks, relatively inexpensive
8k miles of being used like a truck should and has been great.
Yes, it comes with the all of the exact same mechanical extras, from suspension, to engine, to trans, to lockers, to gears, swabar disco's, winch, wheels, and tires.
By an "actual" Power Wagon you mean fancy graphics and appearance features like the grill, LEDs, logos and such that cost $10K plus extra. Mechanically it was identical. It had Katskin leather, the upgraded screens, audio system, etc (I customer ordered it) out the door for $50k when they...
I owned a '21 PW and overall, it was fairly disappointing. It didn't tow my travel trailer as good as my 1500 with the e-torque 5.7L, drove like a tank, ride quality was poor, got abysmal fuel economy, and I buried it twice with the lockers engaged in places it should not have gotten stuck...
Readylift makes a 3.5", two spacer front system with heavy duty UCA's. That is what I am running with 325's on 18's, 2" rear spacers, and it rides and drives like stock. The spacers are not an improvement over stock ride other than being taller.
I recommend replacing the UCA's for anything...
When I aired down to 20 psi, they made a slight hum on pavement. When running 40 psi, they are as quiet as the stock tires were.
I have run KO2's for decades and they have been my preferred AT tire, but BFG is pricing themselves out of the market. I paid almost $100 less a tire for the Recons...
