Europe or Middle East builds are entirely different. Look at royalty in Range Rovers or Jaguars for example, no tint. OP hasn’t stated a reason other than tease about whatever next project he has in mind. I personally can’t think of any reason not to have it and I certainly wouldn’t waste...
I don’t put many miles on it and the dealer assured me it was fine to drive. However, I’m taking it in tomorrow morning for this and two other issues. It’s Maui and they won’t have what’s needed to fix it, so I figure another month before it’s fixed. In my case the noise isn’t worse, in fact...
Also keep in mind you loose 3% per thousand feet in elevation for non turbo or supercharged engines. People forget that or frankly never knew it to begin with, but heading up any pass in Colorado you are asking a lot of the motor under a full load. Before you ask, I’m a private pilot and this...
Having towed large and heavy trailers for decades I’m a fan of bigger is better for the tow vehicle. This really isn’t Ram specific but 1500 vs 2500, or F150 vs F250 for Ford guys.
I wouldn’t blink an eye and buy the 2500. You can get away with the 1500 but it won’t be fun. We had a variety...
Every Ram I’ve driven does this at similar speeds and and adding a little gas. The programming of the throttle seems to favor lugging the engine more than I would prefer, so sometimes I hit the tow/haul mode if it’s annoying me.
I figured it out, in that I don’t have the correct key fobs for the truck. It was a bank repo and the dealer had to buy new fobs, but didn’t get the correct ones.
I’m convinced but could be wrong on this but here goes. If I let the step retract before I start the truck or take off, it seems normal. If I’m quick to put in gear and drive away, there is a long delay. Because the steps come down so low when out and with tight areas near my home with curbs...
I must admit that it’s a huge pain to have the shortbed instead of the 6’4”. I carry enough almost daily which means stuff is always sticking out, but this is also my family car when my wife and kids, plus clients and friends visit Maui and needed the crew cab space. I had searched the used...
My 2019 has the factory spray in liner and is holding up well. As this is my work truck doing HVAC work in a salty climate it was a must have. The two 2019 Rams I had as rentals both had the factory drop in plastic liners. Both had less than 5,000 miles on them but I was already finding areas...
Mine has been flawless, until 2 days ago. Same message pops up.
Update: I’m reluctantly going to take the truck in next week and get not only this fixed, but the horrible noise. Guessing pinion bearing is fried based on general knowledge over the years/decades. I say reluctantly because...
To answer above, yes mine raises back to normal above 15 mph, I just need to manually raise it to deal with the 3 speed bumps before I can make it to 15 mph.
I have to remember to lower mine before entering my garage, as in normal height I only have about 1/2” between the shark fin and the structure of my house. That’s a little too close for comfort so I lower before entering. What took a few times leaving though is to manually raise it back up...
I’m not sure my 12” Uconnect is on the latest software (2019 Limited), but when I logged in the website said I was, however the website acts like I have the smaller 8” screen.? Anyhow, it’s working to my satisfaction so I’m reluctant to have the dealer do anything to it. The GPS claims it’s up...
So just a theory as the used 2019 I drove and purchased in Colorado, drove for a couple of days, then shipped to Maui is now a problem... Mine is noticeable at all speeds since I picked it up yesterday.
I wonder if the pinion seal is bad, and depending on the angle during transport creates this...
I played with this today and shut it off. I was hoping it would let program how much dip I want. Not a huge deal as the surround camera is actually pretty good.
Having rented 2 Longhorns for months at a time on island and now spent a whopping 2 days with the one I shipped from the mainland that purchased, they all do this random stop in reverse, even while backing up super slow. It’s odd and annoying and I figured out how to disable this with the...
