I take it back. I picked my ram up from the dealer today at dusk and sure thing, mine had the same hotspots on the gauges. I had never noticed before, even after reading this thread a few times. Now I will be forever wondering if it changed, or if I just didn't notice before.
On...
Well I finally gave up and had the local line-x dealer do my bed. Came out great and they did remove the tailgate panel and sprayed it separately. I got the impression that LIne-X corporate gives them instructions for how to handle this kind of thing on each model.
I never expected that my...
It is tough comparing pictures of this sort of thing to what it looks like in person, but if the second cluster looks the same as the first, (and that does not look like the rest of the trucks on the lot) then I'd agree that maybe it is not the cluster itself - but something in the dimmer, a...
For those that are going by the "website price" for a new truck, be aware that Mopar allows dealers to list a truck with every possible incentive applied and stacked So they will price their website as if you are a veteran, realtor, lease conquest, new college graduate who is financing through...
My auto brake has surprised me a few times. Mostly when backing into a parking spot in a garage, if I am going faster than it prefers, it is happy to slam on the brakes when I'm still a good 18" from the wall.
The only really odd one was that once it hit the brakes as I was going up the ramp...
Here's a 3 speed case:

I hear where you are coming from. However, I think you'd get into real concerns with durability and complexity. What you are describing is really the job of the transmission. It would be easier to take the 8 speed...
My 2019 Crew with the 5'7 bed FEELS significantly bigger than my 2011 quad with the 6'4 bed.
Looking at the spec sheets, it's only 4" longer in wheelbase and overall length, but I really notice it while parking in tight spaces etc. The crew with the 6'4 bed would be a beast.
I use my truck...
Thanks for the review! I'm impressed that the etorque motor appeared to keep the A/C compressor etc humming while the engine shut off. Also reassured to hear that it makes for rapid restarts.
I do wonder if there's any perceptible 0-60 difference. I have to assume there isn't, otherwise we...
No regrets. A couple of minor issues, the only one that really concerns me is A/C performance. I haven’t been back to the dealer yet, trying to put a few more miles on and get my first oil change.
Mine was a relatively late build (late May) compared to some others and I’ll say that many of...
For those with the factory spray-in, how did they spray the inside of the tailgate? Mine (with camera, remote release, etc) has a large screwed in access panel, presumably for the camera, tailgate release, etc. Did they spray right over this or is the panel still accessible for repair?
With the spring loading it feels like it weighs about 4 pounds. I'm guessing that isn't actually the case. :) There was an allpar article that claimed a 15 lb savings from the new tailgate.
Tailgate theft is a real problem. I couldn't care less what the tailgate is made of, but very...
Coming from my 2011 Ram, I agree the first thing I thought when I sat in the driver's seat was "wow that rearview mirror is an odd size/shape." I've quickly gotten used to it, and I don't notice any visibility challenges but it is a difference.
I would like to know why my rear floormats need...
Trailer detection works with the regular mirrors.
The regular mirrors on the Rams have always been a decent sized and do stick out pretty far from the truck. I'm frankly surprised that the tow mirrors even exist.
It seems reasonable to assume that a year or two out they may offer the tow...
Following-up on my review - after a week of (mostly) highway driving, I've now put a week of city driving on it.
Still very happy overall but definitely have found some things that I'm less than thrilled with that are on my list for the dealer at first oil change in a few weeks:
- The air...
Marusho, if you read this forum you'll see that I recently picked up my ordered Laramie Longhorn from Koons. (and I live nowhere near there) Our prices are in a similar ballpark, mine came in a bit cheaper but I ordered months earlier.
For anyone looking, I'll say that my salesguy there -...
I'd like to hear some rough pricing for what you guys are paying for paint protection film and ceramic coats. I'm not positive I'll do either, although the paint film is tempting. I was shocked when I was detailing my 2011 to sell at how much abuse the front bumper and mirrors had taken...
