Someone else had reported that the supplied instructions for the wiring were incorrect and their symptoms were the same as yours. If you dig up some of these threads you'll see the correct pin to hook into.

I have essentially the same truck - hemi non-etorque 3.92, 4x4. I can' Yeah, this is much closer to my mileage. I'm primarily city but I think my 3000 mile counter is showing mid-low 13s for combined mpg. I do use the remote start a fair bit, I assume that is negatively impacting the result.

Don't let your dealers screw you on the warranty, go buy online for $2k. DON'T buy a 3rd party warranty for a new truck.
