I didn't - we have a lot of snowbirds here in FL so it's not uncommon. Ironically I've owned 6 Dodge/Jeep/Ram vehicles since I've lived here and only bought 1 from a local dealer new. This Ram marks the first time any of the service advisers have asked me if I bought the truck from them, but...
I have at least 4 dealers within a 45 minute drive but one is practically walking distance from my house. I haven't used their service dept in years, but figured I'd give them another shot.
Made an appointment to bring the truck in at 8 am. Brought a printed list of 6 items I wanted them to...
@ryco25 can you confirm which one you bought? Programming to the homelink buttons is what will seal the deal for me.
I assume this was the QTP Agressor + wireless? Yeesh $500 is a bit steep for the pair.
I had a raceland cutout installed on my previous (2011) Hemi Ram. It was great fun and I thought much more reasonable than a loud muffler all the time. Unfortunately the motor died sometime in year 2, I replaced it, and it died again.
I had a local muffler shop weld it in for $75 or $100 and...
Same situation here, but I have only noticed it happening in the last few weeks. I don't know that I've ever made it more than 200 feet or so but have definitely heard the floorboard retract when I'm well out of my driveway.
I'm in S Florida and I flew to Virginia to get a decent deal on one. Maybe now that they're not "so new" you'll do better - for me it was worth the 1000 mile drive.
Now that ambient temp is under 85 my AC is working pretty well. Unfortunately I think it'll be next summer before we see major resolution...
While they bother me, no way I'm paying $70 for 4 plastic plugs.
Someone on here said they used 3/8" plastic hole plugs. Ace hardware or similar should sell them for a buck apiece, or amazon 25 for $6. I realize that works great for those of us with black trucks and less great if you have to...
When I bought from an out of state dealer there was a form which specifically called out that the extended warranty (service plan) was not an insurance policy and therefore wasn't part of Florida's price-fixing regulation. So this may be changing.
I live in FL and have bought a few online...
I was also a bit annoyed when I picked up my truck and thought maybe it was a hazard of ordering from a state that DOES use front plates. However, it makes sense that on a metal bumper they'd pre-drill because of all the issues down the line.
Having owned any number of cars where dealers had...
This is simply an excuse. I have owned 3 (maybe 4?) first-model-year vehicles that were entirely problem free.
While the new Ram is a great platform, nothing in it is revolutionary auto technology. I'm thankful that my truck has been mostly trouble-free but am not going to give Ram a pass...
Someone else had reported that the supplied instructions for the wiring were incorrect and their symptoms were the same as yours. If you dig up some of these threads you'll see the correct pin to hook into.
If anyone has figured out the logic behind two beeps vs three beeps (and then it still starts) I'd sincerely appreciate it.
I'm familiar with remote start not working - or working then shutting off - if you're low on fuel. Same in my 2011.
Reading the threads on here I can see reasons to wait. Increases in quality were obvious over the first few months of production. I am VERY happy with my truck and it has been relatively trouble-free (I even have a 12" screen that works just fine) however they are definitely shipping with...
I have essentially the same truck - hemi non-etorque 3.92, 4x4. I can'
Yeah, this is much closer to my mileage. I'm primarily city but I think my 3000 mile counter is showing mid-low 13s for combined mpg.
I do use the remote start a fair bit, I assume that is negatively impacting the result.
I've thought about the same, although wouldn't mind the factory lights due to fit. The plastic covers on the back bother me, although having not seen them in person, I might not be a fan of the factory lights either.
Be warned that the high density LED strips can draw a decent amount of power...
I'm waiting to find out if someone manages to hook them up simply and easily to a 12v source (trailer hitch?) so that they can just be turned off and on by the switch on one light.
