My Sentry CT is coming up on a year in South Florida sun.
No issues with the finish - about a month in, I did treat it with 303 protectant (the same stuff I used on cloth convertible tops in the past). I haven't checked recently, soon after application it would bead water for a while but after...
I find it curious that you'd go to all that trouble on an 81 degree day. Imagine what it is like for people where 81 degrees is a nice day in DECEMBER.
that isn’t right. After THREE trips to the dealer, they managed to fix mine. Now it charges as expected - blue flashing light within a second or two of putting the phone in the right position. No lights with no phone inserted.
I also did the QTP system and it's great. 99% stock sound levels for normal driving and then just about as loud and obnoxious as you could want when it's open.
You can keep arguing with me all you want, or you can take the data point that on my third visit to get it fixed, my otherwise incompetent dealer did in fact fix my AC.
I agree with you on the blower motor - unless of course the blower wheel was dramatically redesigned that somehow changed...
If I thought there was any chance the dealer would have fixed it, I would have gone to greater lengths to capture my "before" temps. I have owned the truck for 15 months and complained about the AC for 14 months. Finally after the 3rd trip to the dealer, AC performance is good enough that I am...
I'm the original poster on this thread. Reiterating that my local dealer was able to solve my A/C problems. (on the third trip) According to my work order they:
1) Replaced the blower motor and wheel
2) Evac and recharged system
3) No idea if they actually reflashed with the TSB update, but I...
The only shady thing above would be if they actually included destination twice. You should be able to see that on the window sticker. If they did, shame on them. If not, does not look out of line to me.
Those prices for processing and registration may be on the higher side, but a bargain...
I started the other A/C performance thread a year ago - finally I had a dealer who claims to have vacuumed and recharged my A/C, plus swapped out the blower motor and fan assembly - and now I have completely reasonable performance on hot days. Not "best car I ever owned" cold but I can run...
I'm the OP.
After a week of driving around, I'm confident to say that my last trip to the dealer has increased my A/C performance to reasonable modern vehicle levels. For the first time in a year I came out to my truck after it sat in 90 degree full sun for an hour, and I was comfortable 3-5...
I have an update on my situation. (I'm OP) I dropped the truck off for service #3 and again requested they examine the AC and apply the TSB.
I honestly have no idea if they applied the TSB or any software updates, my service adviser was not super helpful with that info and it was a bit...
Then you don't know how a vehicle air conditioner works. Let me explain.
Inside your dashboard, you have a large air box that all the ductwork connects to. This houses the blower, the air filter, and various servo actuated doors to direct the air to different vents, the recirc door etc.
This...
Well this is weird, I'm 95% sure my Laramie Sport (which was pretty optioned out!) only dims drivers and rearview, not passenger side mirror. I have tinted windows so I don't find this to be a problem.
This must be your first FCA product. :)
In all seriousness, $1500 for a 4-5 year warranty extension is a great deal considering that this is a newly redesigned truck and ANYTHING could happen long term. There are many systems on the truck that could be an easy $500 repair and almost as many...
I don't know if it was a cause/effect or not, but after 4 days of presets resetting, I did create a profile and my presets have stuck for 24 hours now.
Well now I’m even more confused. I checked - I had taken photos of the dealer debug screen back in January after my amp update. The version numbers shown now are the same as they were in Jan. (There are 5 screens with various hardware and software numbers, all are the same)
Before someone asks...
Crap. This just started happening to me friday, I left the car at the dealer for 4 days with a list of things to fix. (Not radio related) and when I picked it up all my presets were gone and the CLOCK display on the 12” screen was off.
I assumed they updated the software but ?? Maybe it was...
I got my QTP installed today, took about 4 hours start to finish, since I hit a few hurdles along the way.
I used the Ram 1500 kit #520019 and the Remote Control #10900. Total shipped to me was $420 including tax/shipping after a $25 coupon from Jeg's.
Let me first say I had every intention...
