I installed the qtp cutout with wireless remote two weeks ago and it all worked perfectly. It is amazing to go from stock quiet to rumbling the roads in a few seconds, my four year old is ecstatic.
But as of a few days ago I'm hearing the wireless module click and bumping open the cutout...
Mine surges like this as well any time the engine/trans has cooled down. It's not the transmission jumping from 1st to 2nd, it's the rpms jumping up and down.
I have an alley so I carefully drive through it and it does this all the time, also leaving the parking garage at work. Super annoying...

All the previous posters saying that heat is stuck on in all cases are correct as that is why the AC is not cooling down to what it could either.
Ram wont fix this, the test specifications for the AC system are what most of us are getting out of the vent while the heater is getting air flow...
What psi do you guys run in the duratracs?
I'm a bit confused because my laramie with stock 18s says 36 front and rear on the door jamb but I have read that the rebels say 55psi front and 45psi rear with the duratracs. I think that is way too high for normal daily driving, unloaded. Thoughts?
What psi are you guys running when swapping to the rebel wheels and tires?
My Laramie door sticker says 36psi front and back for my 18in stock tires, from searching here the rebels on duratracs have a 55psi front and 45psi back recommendation on the door jamb?
I think part of the problem is that the hack is easy and cheap. Most folks suspect the blend door is not sealing, which is way too big of an undertaking for most to correctly replace at home anyway. While I would pay up just to know what the issue is, I know there is a 99% chance I would not...
I figured what the heck and took out the two top screws, yanked out the radio area and attempted to scope the vent with the truck on but I couldn't quite get the scope down the 90 degree downward bend which gets fairly narrow as well as navigate the (now hanging by cables) radio/AC controls...
Are you guys expecting to go through the vents with the scope or something like look around from the access area by the cabin filter?
Fyi The instructions to install the oem trailer break controller describe how the radio area can be removed/popped out which leaves the duct holes open and...
When I saw the latest ads with ford and chevy owners selling their trucks for a ram I really wished this would be the response. One quick forum visit here they would have all the ammo they needed. Love the happy sweaty ram owner idea haha..
FCA specifically wrote a spec sheet around lousy AC...
This would seem to be perfect for Rush-in Garage on youtube to do with his wrecked 2019 DT he just fixed back up. He would have the know how for sure.
I'm in for $5
That is incredible for a wait time, I called around Dallas a few weeks ago and was getting 5+ days of wait time where the truck had to sit on the lot and was straight up told if it's not a safety concern run it till something breaks then come in.
Ram may have had incredible sales for the last...
That's right, think of the two systems as two separate loops. Simplified, each loop has a pump and a radiator looking component in the dash. Then, again simplified there is one blower fan in your dash that has a door in front of it that can direct the airflow over the hot and/or cold radiators...
I did the same thing a month ago at the dealership, I took my hvac thermometer and tested many trims and build dates and came to the same conclusion as you, they were all equally poor.
We have an 8 year old Prius and it shocks me now when I go to move it in the driveway for my wife that it can...
Spec shows 90 to 100F, above that it's actually 64F vent temp.
Post with the AC test procedure:

Totally agree, Ram / FCA will not do anything about this, it's all running per spec.
I haven't seen colder vent temps posted from anyone at the same ambient temps(testing during a cool 65F morning is not the same as afternoon sitting in 95F all day), the FCA spec says 55F, the TFL truck vent...
There were a few posts that tech authority had the DT service manual available (without wiring diagrams). I have never used them, so for anyone that has, are the HVAC service details included where we can at least confirm if it states 510g or 515g there?
