I've found that the striped regions on the overhead view are remarkably accurate at showing where the front and rear edges of the bumpers are. The corners should be accurate as well, though they're probably a little more conservative as the bumpers have a bit of curve to them while the striped...
Same situation in my garage; the truck fits but there's not much margin for error. The front parking sensors turn red when I'm still a foot away from the back wall and my rear bumper hasn't yet cleared the garage door. The front camera helps a lot but I went one better: I tacked a pool noodle to...
My MDS engages/disengages completely smoothly; I'd never notice if it wasn't for the ECO light. What I do notice is a bit of engine braking when the transmission downshifts while coasting.
To make it worse it just says that a favorite artist is playing. It doesn't say which artist, much less which song, and you have to take your eyes off the road and tap through menus to find out what's playing and tune the station. It's like they actively designed the system to be distracting...
My interpretation is that it's just hyperbolic marketing. Trolling, really. Anyone with even a superficial knowledge of towing knows that getting a lot of weight moving isn't difficult; it's being able to control and stop it that matters. I don't doubt that the Tesla truck will be able to "tow"...
Same issue here. Really annoying to have to bring the camera up again when I'm finessing the truck into a parking spot. I also agree on how the camera should work (based on speed rather than time) but for now I'd be happy if it respected the setting and worked the way it's documented.
Yeah, that's what I'm seeing. It typically holds for about a day. I think my record is three.
Shh! Don't let it hear you!
Yeah, I've caught it switching a couple of times, too. I can't recall if it's ever happened afterward (i.e. while driving). I don't think so.
Adding to what devildodge said, there's a "sport hood delete" option to keep the regular hood while getting the other elements of the sport appearance package.
If you have navigation you have HD radio. Visually, the trim piece around 8.4 units with NAV is glossy while the trim for non-NAV units has a matte finish. On screen, you'll see the HD radio logo when tuned to a station broadcasting in HD.
HD radio works basically the same way as HDTV. It's a...
I put on Weathertech mud flaps. They make versions (different part numbers) for trucks with/without fender flares. The flaps install over the wheelhouse liners.
Heh. I came to the same conclusion on the air suspension but would have hard a hard time giving up the panoramic sunroof. Even though we haven't had much weather warm enough to open up the glass yet I love the natural light I get with the shade open.
Oh, absolutely (and hardly a new thing). It's the same with the 900 W claim — that's the total power going to all speakers, not the power to each channel. I'm mildly curious about which speakers are what. I think the 6x9s are just woofers, which would imply that the smaller drivers are all...
Did you experience much road noise before installing the seal? While I was waiting for my truck to be built I had this on my list of things to add post-delivery but after taking possession it doesn't seem necessary. Admittedly, my prior vehicle was noisy enough that it always sounded like a door...
Hi madog914, welcome. No need to shout.
Assuming that you're talking about the theme in the driver's instrument cluster (rather than on the radio)... not really. There are at least two threads here about the issue. The radio remembers the theme but the instrument cluster reverts to the default...
Setting the seat memory presets works for the infotainment system (theme, radio/xm presents) but my instrument cluster always reverts back to the default theme within a day.
Is there anyone who has changed themes and hasn't witnessed the instrument cluster revert to the default?
I think @slimchance is right about needing a AT&T LTE signal. My link to the user guide reappeared. Apparently it's completely online rather than the truck having a local copy that gets updated over LTE. (If so, that's idiotic IMO.)
