I think the 5". I got the one for the small mirror sensor since I have a Bighorn without the lane assist and all that other stuff. I have no problem around the mirror, it's the overall width and height of the visor that make it tough to slide in and fully open the visor.
Can you share another picture of it installed and how far across the top and sides you went with the foam? Is that foam just backing rod use when caulking large gaps?
I might try 93 the next fill up. I'm only on my second tank of gas since I got it. Not sure what the dealer put in it when I got it, but when I filled it up, I used 89.
I would assume it's MDS related because I really only notice it when it's in ECO and under a slight load. It almost reminds me of when you have a manual car or motorcycle and are in too high of a gear going up a hill and it's lugging along, close to the point of stalling. I think I can also...
I know this is an old thread, but my new 2020 with 500 miles has a similar noise. Did it since I got it with 36 miles on it, so I assumed it was normal. Does yours still do this or did you end up going to a dealer to see if it was normal?
I can usually notice when MDS kicks on (ECO shows on dash) and I feel it vibrate a little when giving it some gas. It sorta reminds me of my motorcycle when I don't down shift when going up a hill and the RPMs drop and the bike is bogged down like it could stall. You can usually hear a weird...
I have a covercraft and it fits too well. It's super tight and much harder to get into the windshield compared to the covercraft shade I had for my tundra. Maybe it's just the angle and design of the ram windshield that makes it more difficult to install.
On my 2020 1500 bighorn, the power is constant, even when truck is off. I wish mine was the opposite and only had power when the truck was on since I don't have my dash cam hardwired yet, so I need to remember to plug it in to the cigarette lighter when I leave and unplug when I park. Otherwise...
I filled mine up for the first time since I got it with 89 because that is what the manual recommended. Not sure what the dealer filled it up with when I got it, but don't really notice any difference.
I plan on keeping my truck for at least 8 years (when warranty runs out). I put about 5k on the truck a year, so if everything stays the same with my commute (or lack of. I work from home) I will only have about 40k on my truck. If its reliable, I'll keep it longer. I'm curious to see what the...
I have the factory Ram rubber mats which seem pretty good and a decent price. I had Weathertechs in my 2007 Tacoma, then I had Husky Liners in my 2013 Tundra. I think I liked the Husky's the best.
I was able to get my dealership to match Ziegler's price at the time of delivery. I got a Maxcare warranty (8year/60,000) with $100 ded for $1075 US dollars. I only put about 4-5k a year on my truck so I went with a lower mile one.
So far for me is the paint defect on my door that I have to take back to the dealer to look at and waiting on the inevitable rear window frame crack/leak. Not happy seeing all of these rear window issues. Worries me when the dealer has to remove the window and risk scratching the truck or not...
Too bad they wouldn't give the warranty. I'd take that over painting the door. I really don't want to deal with a paint job on a brand new truck. I'm considering just leaving as is, since painting could open up a whole new can of worms.
