Last year when I bought my truck I really messed up one of mine with only 300 miles on the truck. I was so sick I started looking at options.
I ended up buying a complete set of take offs rims only, then later buying a complete set of rims and tires. I sold the rims and tires as a set and...
You should work towards getting an additional discount based on the condition of the "new" truck and then take it somewhere on your own to be detailed. I can't say every dealer detail shop sucks, but im betting its in the high 80-90% range that just do the bare minimum. They typically hire...
Dont be intimidated by the AmpPro interface. You just hook it up, all the extra stuff, is just that, extra.
The crossover adjustments and all that are there to help "fine tune" the EQ that is built into the stock radio. You don't have to adjust that at all if you dont want to. I leave the...
Agreed, fix it yourself if you can, or get prices from local body shop. The damage isn't great, but most likely not so bad that you should get insurance involved.
You would like to think that is what insurance is for, but most agree you should reserve insurance for more significant damage...
Sounds like a nice setup, well done!
I recently installed a full system as well. I used PAC Ampro interface. Its been installed for a few weeks now with no issues, but just this weekend I noticed a similar noise when the volume is at zero. You cant hear it at any other volume, not a...
The seats in the Ram (and all CDJR vehicles as far as I know) are "ventilated" not "cooled". So all you get is air flow, no active cooling or conditioned air.
Also note that a lot of ventilated seats, including those in the ram, suck air in instead of blowing air out. Its not what you...
I dont think you want to use a metallic film. Im under the impression that is an old technology and it could interfere with radio/gps/TPMS signals. Great for heat reduction, but not at the sacrifice of signals necessary to function. Plus I think they are way too shiny and almost a...
Here's a vote for 3M. I have had numerous vehicles tinted over the years and used Suntek and Llumar before both with good results. This truck I got it stuck in my head I wanted 3M. Crystaline on windshield and pano roof and 3M Color stable on the side windows. Had it 2 weeks or so and very...
I followed this post.... https://5thgenrams.com/community/threads/removing-exterior-door-handle.10332/#post-188264
I actually didnt take mine completely off, but far enough that I could get in there to sound deaden the doors.
They tell me they measured my rear windows at 25% before doing my tint. I didn't see the meter, but I assume they are telling the truth.
I did 50% over the rears and 20% on the front doors and it matched perfectly.
Good luck.

Im curious to see where you think the rattle is coming from in the rear door. Ive recently removed rear door and inner panel so Im somewhat familiar with the setup, but I don't completely understand what you are referring to. Video would...
NC requires inspection but no sticker on the windshield. If your state requires a sticker that gets changed each year, I guess you would need to cut out the tint to leave room for the sticker so it can be carefully removed and re-applied directly to the glass? Check with your tint installer...
Thanks! I had a long drive yesterday and didn't notice any prism effects with polarized sunglasses. I wonder if the darker the tint (70% vs 90%) this is more prevalent?
Finally got mine done. Truck will be a year old next month. This is the longest Ive gone without tint on a vehicle, glad to finally have it done.
Windshield and Pano 3M Crystaline 90%
Front Doors 3M CS 20%
Rear Door 3M CS 50%
Rear slider yet to be done, I have the notorious crack in my...
Thanks for the info. Sounds like fun! Luckily it does not seem like mine is leaking any water, at least not that I have seen. Might postpone it a while.
Add me to the list....
Anyone know the following (without having to scan through 30 pages)?
Does Ram do this repair at the dealership or is it typically an auto glass repair place?
Does anyone know if the rear seat and rear wall cover panel needs to be removed to make this swap?
I recently...
Can you post a few more pics of the tips? Curious to see the double wall from a few different angles.
I have the Craven 5" tips and I don't like them quite as much as my Moe's 5" tips that were on my 2014.
Looking for alternatives.
Thanks!
