I really wish we didn't have to babysit this recall fix. Really sucks for us. because now we'll be labeled by the service departments as "that" customer.
Air ride all day. Unless you were driving in sub zero temperature which would cause the air suspension to be a little stiffer than usual, there air ride should have been smoother without a doubt
It doesn't fix it. My truck has been in the shop since Tuesday. They thought this rear camera theory would work. They confirmed it doesn't. They're trying other things presently. I'll know more when I get my truck back and update this thread.
Whatever they are, make sure they are an 1/8 or 3/16ths' longer than the factory bolts, as the bolts don't take into account the bedliner thickness. I had one pop out and it was a PIA to get back in.
Is anyone having any issues with their leather discoloring? Specifically, the Indigo/Frost leather interior? I have several spots (on the blue portion of the leather) on the back of both front seats that look like the dye is fading. It's almost as if you had white chalk on your hands and touched...
The PPF is not necessary IMO. At least not the ones WT sends with the flaps. I put them on, PIA btw, and took them right off. The flaps are designed perfectly and don't create a rub point between flare and flap that would cause paint issues.
Good news for the 8.4 owners! Wonder how that intertwines with the 12.1 owners since the problem is the same across all systems. Would that mean that everyone, regardless of system, gets a new radio?
What’s your take on this? Doesn’t really address the problems we’re experiencing. I’d hate to update my system and then have other things not working... like the dreaded black screen
If it helps, and I think I mentioned this in a prior post when talking to @RIC3BOY about where he keeps his truck, that my truck sits in my garage from the time I get home from work until the time I leave for work in the morning and I still experience the bug on many occasions on startup when...
Yeah, my dealer knew it wasn't going to fix the problem but had to do it because FCA told them to. Multiple times...
It was never mentioned to me so I doubt it. This is the first I'm hearing of this theory too.

I've really missed out on some of the comments here lol. Popcorn worthy. Glad everyone has calmed down and back to figuring this out together. As it relates to the rotary shifter theory, I'm with you Rick. When the bug strikes me it's instantaneous on start. Doesn't matter if I shift gears. For...
Thanks for contributing. We all feel your pain! We hope FCA is listening to us and not thinking "ok there's only a dozen or so defectives out there so no need to worry." Let me ask you this though; after they claimed they fixed it I'm assuming you told them they didn't, so where do things stand...
Good luck! My truck was in the shop for over two weeks with them replicating the problem multiple times a day with FCA’s “STAR” team of engineers reading the codes and trying to trouble shoot everything. My truck was literally the lab rat and would have continued to be if I didn’t go there to...
