Also, you could ask if you can download the version just before 2.1.6.0 (i don't know what it was but it is what I used when i did mine in Feb., and what I did the screen shots from in my post)
By the way, I just notcied that I used "Body computer: MY2016-17 PowerNet" when I did mine (not...
Hmmm. That must be the new software update. The only difference I see is that forced ECU choice. Might be a good idea to shoot an email off the AlfaOBD and explain the issue. He is very responsive.
Okay. In your first screen shot (ECUs) try using "Body computer: MY2016-17 PowerNet"
This is the one I used on the older version of the software from Feb. You are on the newest version that came out on Apr 9th. There may have been changes, but give that a try. Rest of it looks good.
Bummed. I've been away for a while and just started catching up on this conversation. Got SUPER excited with Swifty's revelation and shot him a PM! Kept reading and few pages later-BANG... heartbreak. The good news is it CAN be done.
Now we need to get them to ALLOW it to be done. Let's get...
Connect to the OBDII reader via WiFi as if it were a network. Your computer will probably say something about there not being an internet connection, but that should not be a surprise and you don't need one to do the work.
I got jack. Bought mine second hand and they had been removed by the original owner (whom I never met). I'm initiating contact with FCA to see if I can get a set for the glove box to use on the road if needed. Downloads are great, but a PDF won't make me a happy camper on the side of the road.
You are seeing things correctly. AlfaOBD does not have an app for iOS, that is why you must download the software for your pc laptop and pay for the software key (he will email the key after payment).
This one is for iOS:

And this is for Android:

Or, if you have iOS (as I do), go for this OBDII reader by the same company:

Regardless, the link to Infotainment.com that RebelWraith posted for the security gateway module bypass is the same as I used.
For me, it is because the driverside rear block was broken off by some turd trying to break in. It stays in place due to being held in by the actual door handle. But if you pull the handle, as if to get in the back seat, the block (cover and all) will simply slide out and fall on the ground...
I did a complete write up of the PC version of AlfaOBD for updating after the Integrated Trailer Brake Module installation over in brotharon's outstanding thread on doing the install (see post #91)-...
(Continued from last post)
12) Finally, do the same after selecting ‘P/T Chassis Net-ITBM/HWM Integrated Trailer Brake Module’ near the bottom of the Select option menu, and ‘Enabled’ from the Select value menu.
13) Go back to the Start tab and click ‘Disconnect’ on the right side of the...
Seeing as all the instructions I have observed here show the Android interface for AlfaOBD I thought I’d show some step by step shots for the PC version, broken down Barney style.
1) Plug in your OBDII scanner and security gateway bypass, then connect your PC wifi to the OBDII scanner.
2) On...
Yes. Advanced Mode got me nowhere. However I just received a reply back from Alexey at AlfaOBD (much faster than I anticipated) and he pointed me in the right direction. It was on the Active Diagnostic tab, then the "procedure description" pull down menu item "Car configuration change" all the...
I got the OBDII reader, bypass, and AlfaOBD for PC (everything else I have is iOS) and am trying to enable the ITBC I installed but I cannot find a place in Alfa to actually CHANGE any settings. The only place I can see them is by pressing "Read System Status" in the Status/Faults tab. The PC...
Greetings from Florida. We just got a GREAT deal on a used 1500 in Arrest Me Red with the idea of using it to tow a travel trailer. I've join the forum here to get ideas and help on the many little projects I will have questions about. Most of these, at least to begin with, will be repairs to...
What if you need to remove the whole block? How is that done. The front doors have access ports aft of the handle that allow a torx bit to pull back a pin the holds the whole block in place. But there is no such access for the rears. Would I seriously have to remove the inner door panels?
