They have now replaced the BCM (Body Control Module) and a wire harness that runs from the headlights rea to behind the dash (no part number given)
The problem still persists
you are probably correct that a previous owner turned it off
If you are under warranty, have the dealer look at it...they probably had no idea someone had disabled it, so they can restore it easily
the eTorque Stop/Start works so quickly there is no reason to shut it off,...why buy an eTorque...
the issue is pointing to being bad wiring, my concern is not the daily nuisance of the start/stop, but the long term reliability of an expensive vehicle with a problem that may get worse in the future after the warranty expires
FCA easily approved the "cash & keep" settlement or vehicle buyback once the lemon-law specifications were met. I'm currently giving them the opportunity to repair the truck a final time
It's been a straightforward conversation, but it's not without frustrations...you do have to let the process...
You have to take it back again and start a new service,...you do this until they either fix it or you have satisfied the Lemon Law requirements for your state

Latest updates...
The truck is back at dealer service, 4th time for the same problem with no improvements and 40 plus days in service
Repair attempt #1
• replaced MGU (Motor Generator Unit - aka eTorque alternator)
• PCM reflash
• TCM reflash
• replaced Hood Sensor
Repair attempt #2

shorty's should be,...I believe as long as the cats stay in their original location (not further away or closer inline), you can also change the cats...but again, they have to be a suitable replacement in the original location (some people use aftermarket cats from corvettes)
To be honest, I...
hahaha....:ROFLMAO:😂🤬
sorry,...they've replaced my hood latch sensor twice now, in addition to many other parts. The hood latch sensor is the first part they replace on all of the others I've read about with this same issue, so I wish you luck!
Check for scratches and chips around the engine...
mine has been in 3 times for the exact same problem, still unsolved, for a total of more than 30 business days
You should call FCA and start a case now so everything has maximum effort to solve the issue.
