i too do about 95% highway driving and have had 2 non e-torqu 5.7s, ordered my 2022 rebel without it as well. I test drove 2 trucks with e-torque, there is no question whatsoever they are indeed very smooth and ride better than without. I just didn't want the potential added problems and ive...
had the center console shifter in my 09 and loved it, got the dial in my 15 and hated it, when the GT package came i was excited to order a Rebel with the shifter, ended up skipping the gt package because the shifter ruins the center console, i guess the knob has grown on me... went with the...
my Rebel is currently being built, I am looking to level it as well, most likely 2.5 - 3.0 in the front and 1.5 in the rear, what are my options for not ruining the ride quality ? spacers with new uca ? suggestions please... Thanks..
thanks for the heads up... much prefer the badges on the quarter panel like my 2015, cant believe they sunk them into the hoods, do not like the look at all, even worse in chrome. then they go and add fake louvered panels and a vision blocking hood bulge.
I will throw my soon to be hood in the ring as well. granite rebel hood for a regular granite hood locted in NY, my Truck will hopefully be delivered in the next month. no hoods with " built in badges " so must be from a 19 ?
3 months as of yesterday, contacted my dealer why am i seeing Rebels with vins in the 200's being built and my 168 hasn't budged. Told me since my Rebel is essentially fully loaded there is no time frame. I asked if 1 particular option was holding things up, he said he would check with manager...
im at 10 weeks, there are trucks on dealer lots I would take rather than waiting, except they are between 5 and 7k more, nobody with trucks on their lots will come close to matching my ordered price.
ive had a non etorque 5.7 for 12 years and ordered another non e-torque 2022, e-torque most certainly does smooth out the shifts and the stop / start is flawless.
I didnt get it because of the potential 48v battery problems and the potential for slow speed stalling and restarting problems that...
i stand corrected, when i tried to configure a limited the e-torque was standard, just tried to configure a 22 limited, 5.7 non etorque is available...
your build is almost an exact copy of mine except you have the GT package which may get yours built sooner than mine as they seem to want to get them out on the streets. i am at 10 weeks with no movement whatsoever. my vin is in the 168 range and i am getting passed over with rebels in the 180s...
there are several youtube videos on e-torque from the guy who helped develop it,,,, it only works on the 1st 1/2 revolution of the tire from a start with up to an additional 140 ft. lbs of torque on the 5.7, as well as helping smooth out the shifts by grabbing the drive shaft allowing not to...
i highly doubt color is holding up your build as well. I see rebels with much higher vins than mine being built with similar options. I have blind spot, ASG, and pano, which all seem to be a hold up in one way or another, the only other taboo option i dont have is ram boxes.... I doubt i will...
