It’s “hasn’t yet, but will” that’s the real rub. It’s not surprising that the option descriptions have finally been updated, but there hasn’t been any real confirmation that the change is actually retroactive to customer orders, just dealer stock orders. I fear it won’t be until a Limited Level...
Or is he just showing you generic screen shots from the rose system of what the packages are now, which would NOT necessarily be a reflection of your specific order which again was placed prior to the change?
I ordered just after you so I’m keenly interested here!
So wait, are you saying the dealer has confirmed that despite your order having been placed prior to the change in package contents (limited level 1), that your specific order has been updated to include the revised version of the package, to include the added items (HUD, etc.)? If so, that’s...
Like some others have said, and I totally agree with, it’s a personal calculation everyone has to make. The market realities are what they are. The manufacturers aren’t doing this to us because it’s fun not to be able to build product. I get the wait is hard, and for many a long wait won’t be...
It’s a little disingenuous to suggest that the problems with manufacturing, of all goods, hasn’t been mainstream news for some time (at least here on the West coast). I’m certainly not expecting anyone to know the ins and outs of the problems various industries are facing right now, but I do...
No disrespect intended, to each their own, but this “if I have to wait months” train of thought doesn’t jive with the process of ordering a vehicle in current conditions. Waiting months, maybe many months, was always going to be required.
You don’t like waiting and yet you chose to order a vehicle in the midst of unprecedented material shortages with plenty of evidence of the issues already causing problems for other huge car manufacturers? Alrighty.
Realizing suddenly that Ive never known more about how, where, how long it takes, and the intimate details of the employment status of the people and process of building a product which I’ll be purchasing, than I do about this dumb (don’t listen to me sweetie, I don’t mean it) truck. It’s crazy...
Not a fan of them building trucks they can’t finish. I don’t like the idea of my truck potentially sitting in a field, baking in the sun for months ::cough::f150s::cough:: being lived in by mice, waiting for something they knew they didn’t have when they started it.
Be better than Ford, Ram.
That is precisely my situation. I"m hoping I get those things added, but at the same time, I believe I did have the package available to me and I chose not to get it. so no harm, no foul.
Thanks for the link. From that article: "According to the dealers we have talked to, RAM sent out letters stating that already placed orders for the 2022 model year trucks, will be modified to reflect the revised plan."
I know when Eighty posted a copy of the letter (probably the letter this is...
I'm moving up to a truck from a sedan (with BSM) and can't imagine driving a truck without it! Not to mention the wife wouldn't let me buy one without it.
Just to be fair, the web site does specify on the request screen that it is for the 2020 1500. The downloadable version is the 2021, but the mail version specifies 2020. So while I admit it's weird they wouldn't be the same, at least they're clear about what it is we'd be receiving.
