I’m going to have some 4x2 crew jackets made for us. Only question is which half should we have made? The left or right? I guess technically it should be the bottom but at that point it’s just a cummerbund and doesn’t seem as tough.
Could probably make a killing selling vinyl stickers that look like the Fwd button layout for us 4x2ers to put where the blank plate the buttons would otherwise be.
Any chance we can put together some sort of pact where we all agree that if someone’s truck get built before yours, despite being ordered later, there will be no slashed tires or unwanted magazine subscriptions? Let’s keep this civil.
try being the guy that went 4x2 :-) (me). I don’t regret going that route - I’m in Southern California and this is purely a freeway daily driver that’ll never tow or see dirt - so while I may have night edition and LL1, I stil feel left out not seeing “4x4” in my sig. even though I know...
How long ago did you order? Or more specifically, when did your dealer actually place the confirmed order? From your sig it sounds like it was originally a 21 which means it would have been awhile ago.
I love the enthusiasm, but this was confirmed by Ram a while ago. The only news would be if they've retroactively applied the change to SOLD customer orders placed prior to the change having been made in early August. If that is what you are confirming, then that IS big news.
There have been folks here in recent days moved from d, to c, up to D1 in a matter of 72 hours. So don’t worry so much about the codes at any given moment as they’re given to change without notice or reason (my humble opinion).
Oh okay, thank you for clearing that up for me. You’re right, that does sound like a weird step in the wrong direction. Suppose the use of fabric is a nod to the Limited of 10 years ago, that probably (I actually have no idea) didn’t use much leather?
Is the suggestion here that the standard Limited, with black leather, also will have fabric? Can't think of any seats I've ever seen that mix the two and can't imagine what black fabric they'd pick to go with the leather that wouldn't look corny and cheap as hell. Also not sure how you can call...
I have no idea what the rhyme or reason is for how this stuff is happening. For all I know I’ll be back to C or D tomorrow. I won’t really out much faith in anything until I see a build sheet or window sticker.
That’s too funny! I don’t blame you! I haven’t communicated with my dealer since placing my order so I don’t know what roller coaster my order went through to get to D1 or that it will stay there. Keep up the faith!
As much as I would love to, I’m not getting my hopes up for an October delivery. Especially when there seems to still be a little confusion (at least I’m still confused) by what “shipped” means. I hear shipped and I think sent out from the factory to the dealer. Others here (others much smarter...
Emailed my dealer this morning to check on my status, and he just replied that I am currently in D1 with an estimated ship date of the end of the month. Yay!
