Seems like it would be so much cheaper to ship whatever parts are being installed to Michigan than to ship an entire truck to the parts, but whatever. Im not sure what is in Texas, either. I am also surprised the dealer would have that level of visibility to know these kinds of specifics. Would...
Unfortunately, according to my dealer right now, 14 days after getting on the train, my truck is in Texas. He believes they’re adding options that weren’t available at the factory. Could be the tonneau cover? Spray in bed liner? Side steps? Who knows! But no ETA to CA at this point. So, keep in...
Here is what I meant, for the trucks internet service it is $20 monthly through AT&T. There is a difference between RAM doing over the air for the purposes of providing updates, and providing general internet service. Which they don’t. It has to be subscribed to separately.
Could have sworn I saw somewhere the subscription fee for the internet connectivity. There is a difference between the radio having a built in WiFi hotspot, which just shares an internet connection, and having an internet connection period. But again, all just spitballing
Does your truck have the built in LTE modem in the radio? I’m not sure if that in all models or only specific ones, like the Limited. That probably comes with a free trial period and it may be the thing creating problems when it loses signal. Not the phone. Could be way off base but just a thought.
You realize you can turn the cell service off from your phone, right? Pretty easy to turn off the network, or put the phone in airplane mode which keeps Bluetooth on, and test.
Welp, Carvana just rolled away with my car! I'm pot committed at this point. Really hoping to hear from my dealer that the truck has arrived, sometime this week so I am not stuck without a vehicle for too long. I am so excite!
My build sheet is from 9/22 so if that's it, they ran out pretty recently. Were the build sheets with a different tire before or after that date, that you've seen?
Maybe. It's also just a slightly depressing process to go down their compare function between the two years. There are more things no longer available on the 22my limited than there are added. In fact I think Uconnect 5 might have been the only added item among many removed.
This was probably already covered and I missed it, but just noticed that the 2022 Limiteds have a lower tow rating than the 2021 version. At last according to the RAM site. Interesting. I'm going through to see all the various differences and that one is odd.
Try see the silver lining: I don’t know that mine went through inspection at all. So while you may be waiting a bit longer, I may be getting a rushed pile of trash that wasn’t inspected at all/hardly. Whereas your beauty may be problem free forever because it was REALLY well inspected.
If I weren’t too fat and/or uncoordinated I would literally be flipping with happiness, yes. I’ll settle for sitting quietly and celebrating with a stiff drink.
Dealer just emailed to confirm my truck is on the way. Build sheet: 9/22, Window sticker: 9/28, currently in Oklahoma City, OK: 9/30. He said he is expecting it to arrive in a couple of weeks. Which is great, but seems like a long time if in 2 days it’s already gone as far as it has. Headed to...
