I just signed up and the email states that after the mandatory 30 days, you need to bring your welcome letter to the dealership during your purchase. It didn't mention signing up, but that may be what your dealer tells you once you get there.

@Eighty - Just checked with the dealer, my ship date was pushed a day later to 9/24. Also checked with them that they do accept the Tread Lightly affiliate discount of 1% under invoice. Question, how do you come up with what 1% actually is? 1% of the MSRP or 1% of invoice?

Was hoping that having an early VIN would put me close to the front of the line....

If you had ordered the Off-Road package, you would have been bumped back to 20" wheels as you can't get 22" wheels with the Off-Road package.

I think it's basically that they have to have a hard stop on the 2021 model year, regroup/retool/restock on the changes for 2022 builds and then start up the 2022 production.

As long as I can get a few months with my new truck before it gets covered in salt, I'll be OK with a later build date. After all, I'm still driving a practically new truck now.

I just spoke with Ram chat, when I asked when 2022 Ram 1500 production starts, they told me the 2022's start production next week, the week of August 9th. Not sure how accurate their info actually is, but if it is, that's great news!

Eighty - Do you really think they will omit the Tech Group when the truck is a sold order and was ordered with it? I'm actually looking forward to getting the Tech Group.
