My rant for today!
So,
Based on a few snapshots from Google on the search criteria of “has xxxx car company outsourced software development?”, almost all car makers have done it.
However, all manufacturers except Stellantis still have in-house development groups for key functionality...
It is mind-boggling that a simple engine oil/filter change process that has worked since model T has been made into Mongolian cluster F.
Is anyone else with 25 who has had the dealer oil change?
I am concerned about taking mine in for an oil change.
Since currently there are no solutions for adding a front camera to 2025,
What do you guys think about this?
Not integrated, however it is better than nothing
Have to look at where to mount it since the plate holder bolts are so low on the 25 bumper...
Ones I have installed:
1- hard tonneau cover
2- tow hooks
3- Front-only mud flaps - no one has the rear flaps yet
4- rubber bed cover
5- dash cover
6- Running boards
7- Factory chrome body side moldings
Bed step does not work, 25 is diff.
My dealer gave me this number for 2025: 82215289ah
Not confident about the P#, since the same dealer gave me P# for the trailer brake controller that was 100% wrong!
America is V8!
Yes you will be CEO - someone who understands V8s.
There have been so many great V8s in the '60s, ('70s until 71).
Focusing on Hemi only -- 426, 440 six-pack, 426 Wedge, 392, 6.2 Hellcat, etc. etc. GM, Ford, and AMC had great V8s also.
My first car was a 1971 454 Chevy Malibu SS -...
Have any of you installed one of the generic bed steps that fit?
I did get one of Amazon's steps and it did not fit. Could not line-up the little boob that should drop in the hole.
If you have, what brand/where you got it.
I don't want to pay $400 plus for the OEM
Thanks
Take it back and have the dealer correct it - more than likely they overfilled it. Dealers (same a quick lube joint) use a big oil dum with a pump with an inaccurate gauge to pump oil in.
Or, there may be a reset process with the new engine.
I had the same issue with my 5.7—the dealer always...
Stellantis ownership of CDJR did not mean jack **** to me 2 years ago.
It means more now since RAM is owned by a mediocre garbage corporation looking for Chinese sugar daddies to save their incompetent asses.
CDJR is in the same cesspool as FIAT, Renault, Waxhaul, and the other **** that no one...
Yes - the ownership of MB has brought us the best interiors!
In 2019 when I was looking for a full-size truck, I narrowed down my choice to a Thundra. then on the way home to get the checkbook I stopped at the RAM dealer. When I saw the RAM, my jaw dropped down to the ground, It was better...
Edit -- removed the last comment that may come across as a partisan statement.
That is their point of buying Chrysler, Jeep, RAM, Dodge. Research the data about the Japanese, Germans, and ..... the rest when they opened factories in the US to bypass the Chicken tax!
Half of all Japanese brands...
BYD - supposedly has made a full-size truck. It is sold everywhere except the US.
Warren Buffett owns 7% and GM owns about 4% of BYD -- Per Google!
If this happens - then there is a work-around for importing BYD trucks/cars to US.
I am with you -- seriously, the French/Italians don't understand the US truck market. They make dog **** like Fiat, Citroen, Renaualt, Vaxhaul and other crap.
Chrysler needs to be bought back by some one(s) in the US.
It has been a blasphemy to the Dodge Brothers since MB bought Chrysler.
Has anyone done a oil/filter change so far?
Oil filter is easy access compared to Hemie.
I am at 4900 miles, probably go to the dealer for the service. I am concerned about dealer overfilling and without a dipstick is hard to have an accurate read
BTW - Just a rant from me,
I have paid s.....t load of money for my 2019 and 2025 RAMS.
Even the cheapest brands put "cheap" 360 cameras on most of their truck/SUV models.
When I took my truck to the dealer for UConnect issues, while I was waiting I looked at the RAMs that were on the showroom...
