I figured out the whole -Siri’s voice won’t stay normal volume- thing.
It’s due to the ‘Siri & Suggestions’ setting “Automatically Send Message.”
Turn it off and Siri’s volume stays were it’s put.
So, I guess it’s an thing
Also, I took a trip from CT to NH and back. Max speed basically 72. Started with 20 miles or so (from a full tank) with a truck computed average of 14mpg. Trip ended with 19.3mpg.
It’s overall, not bad. Basically take off the steering wheel, take out the bad one, install the new one and put the wheel back on. If your steering wheel makes a more than minimal clicking noise when you turn it, it’s the clock spring. Generally, same for hard blinkers
I’ve always found that click springs are hit or miss. I had one replaced, then drove right back and they had to replace it again. Then it was solid🤷🏻♂️
3 questions:
Are you sure of the wiring part number?
Do you have the 12” screen?
Where are they saying the 2 connectors don’t exist, behind the head unit or under the steering wheel?
The smaller battery runs all the electronics when stopped. The main is the starter.
This advice makes sense if the low battery was referring to the aux. good thoughts @Laramieblue
Then, that’s a little odd. Could be a thermostat issue. Or, could be you didn’t warm up the transmission enough yet.
It’s also to reduce wear and tear. I’d keep an eye on it for now. Next time it happens, ensure the gages are in the picture in case you need to take it in
How long was the truck running? Unless it’s like 80 out with the sun beating down on it, it’ll be a few miles of engine warm up before it’ll stop/start.
It’s just basic fluid dynamics. It takes more battery to start a “cold” engine. The hot/cold in this case is in reference to oil temperature...
It is 100% my understanding that you are correct. @Cbty2050 can confirm.
If your wire leaving your module is that number, it’s correct and terminates behind the infotainment panel in the correct 2 plugs. Therefore you only need the switch and module.
Who is telling you this? Parts or Service?
