i read somewhere EPA jumped on FCA on the early ecoboosts about emissions. FCA called the trucks in for a "recall" and the ones who did it described the same issue as a result. so its a their way to make emissions.
I recently took our bumper dragger camper with our "new" Ram Crew Cab 6'4" box on its maiden voyage last weekend and was not impressed with the way it towed vs my silverado i used to tow it with. The chevy was rock solid. the rams rear end definitely feels less secure. i have airlift 5k bags on...
I did.. i didn't feel the need to include that in the first post. I fail to understand what a difference it makes. the pickup isn't even out of the warranty window yet. Mansplaining is explaining something in a oversimplified manner.
The damage was there when i bought the pickup. no need to explain the process. one would think the damage would be more than near the edge though if someone was not entering and exiting the pickup properly
Well you sound pretty sure of yourself so i have no choice but to believe you haha ;)
I purchased this truck used so i dont know what if any maintenance the previous owner did. just find the wear a little unacceptable for the miles that are on it.
I will be searching for some sort of repair kit
I got out of a silverado LTZ when i got this Laramie and the chevys leather seats were without a doubt real leather. The "leather-trimmed" seats in my Laramie are peeling like Vinyl does . ..That is my gripe. Dont call them leather if that is not what they are. .
nothing super noticeable. maybe a light tick but everyone seems to call that the "HEMI TICK" and chock it as normal. Have you seen cam issues with the 5th gens? from my knowlage they changed the lifter manufacturer in 2017 and it seemed to help.
ya, if my payload rating was 700# which thank god its not... from my estimates ill be about 700# over payload.. hoping i find the time soon to load everything up and go to the local grain elevator to get real numbers.

This is a good in theory but i dont see a weight rating on the device.
No pic yet but i will need to made sure she even fits in the back without the tailgate yet. maybe this weekend
I do this only once or twice per year and have not done it with this Ram yet. i have the 5k# airlift bags with E rated tires to be as safe as i can with the 1500
These are all Paper...
I will be doing the same setup but i will have to take my tailgate off to miss the electric hitch on the camper. over payload for sure but i have the 5k airlift bag system on the back and made sure im under my axle ratings.
i got 150k mile/unlimited time with 100$ deductibles "bumper to bumper" through ally for 2,500$ if i remember.. i understand it has roadside assistance with it aswell
Story Time. .
I know a guy that used to tow once or twice a year overpayload with a 08 Silverado 1500 LTZ extended cab with 6'6" box , helper bags and E rated tires. he had a 670lb ATV in the bed with a 28 ft camper hooked to it with a tounge weight of probably 800lbs with his occupants inside...
