Do you know what the dealer is offering for that price? When I got my 2019 Limited, dealer recommended and installed a Bakflip MX4 over the Mopar hard tonneau for about that price. I've been happy with it.
“Stay seated and keep your arms and legs inside the vehicle”. Works on rollercoasters, don't see why it wouldn't in our trucks. 🙃 :) 🙃.
Spooked me the first time it happened so many years and vehicles ago.
Maybe not in those exact words but you along with others constantly bring up the fact that the current electrical grid in the US can't handle the increased demands. As for proponents of EVs thinking that all you have to do is plug it in and your done, I for one never said that it could happen...
There are other technologies such as biomass, nuclear, and tidal that are non-emitting generation options that are a lot more reliable. Yes each solution has it's own issues, but there are ways to solve them.
So what's your solution? Stifle innovation and keep doing things the same way we have...
It's funny, because all the naysayers seem to have the attitude that electrification is a flip of the switch and would happen instantly. This is a fallacy, even the most aggressive timelines that some gov'ts are pushing is to end the sale of new ICE vehicles by 2035, not 2023. Even if the US...
I was actually surprised to learn that Texas is one of the top states for green power, even if it only accounts for approx. 18% of their total capacity.
From what I read, one of the contributing factors was that Texas chose to isolate itself from the national grid to avoid having to comply with...
Then Texans & Californians should band together over a common cause and rebel. I don't remember hearing of the same types of outages in other states.
The last time there was a major power outage in Canada it was part of the 2003 blackout that took out pretty much the entire eastern...
But isn't the assumption that the grid can't handle it based on a belief that multi-billion dollar companies aren't spending anything to upgrade the system to handle forecasted increase demand?
Electricity is for all intents and purposes the lifeblood of any country. If this is truly the state...
I don't put too much stock in the regulations and targets that gov'ts set, those can be changed by lobby groups and changing administrations. What can't be changed by them and will ultimately dictate what manufacturers build is consumer demand. As manufacturers introduce models that people want...
You're using it wrong. 🙃 On rural 2 lane highways I'll set the ACC to 20kph over the posted limit and 2 car lengths. That way, when I come up behind a sloth and go to pass I don't even have to touch the gas pedal.
As for which I'd want. My next 1500 will have all three
Hoodac78, do the research for yourself. Things aren't as scary as they seem, especially in Canada. We don't suffer the same types of rolling blackouts & brownouts we see on the news in the US. Yes there are issues that need to be figured out but then total electrification won't happen overnight...
Gotta say I'm a little torn by the announcement. Happy they formally announced their plans, but a little sad they're giving the others a 2+ year head start.
It wouldn't be very difficult for them to provide a software 11 band eq. but I won't hold my breath for it to happen.
Sound is very subjective, but after having spent some time with a calibrated mic and software I've been able to use a music app with built in parametric eq to tweak the...
Interesting new wrinkle after the TSB was done. I don't like having the AC blowing directly on me, so I set the AC & recirc on and direct it to the defrost vent only. With it set like this, I get a significant amount of air coming out of the footwell vents. Went back to the dealership and the...
Unfortunately you most likely lost any leverage to negotiate the price of it. It may make more sense to go with a 3rd party rustproofing at this point.
I have always figured out my absolute "out the door" price and for me that includes the extended warranty along with the rustproofing &...
Take a look at the link I posted a little while back. GM is investing in a geothermal electricity generating project in California that is tapping into a lithium rich brine reservoir. They're forecasting being able to extract enough lithium to produce 6 million EVs annually by mid-2024. Granted...
You'll never convince the naysayers. The reality is that no matter what facts you present they will find a reason why it's not relevant to their personal situation, and some may very well not be.
Personally, with any luck this will be my last ICE vehicle. If RAM comes out with an EV that can at...
No judgement. I once had a boss (very religious man) who was looking for a leather jacket for his wife and was shocked at the number of porn sites popped up when he googled "leather".
