Looks like they were caused by stones kicked up from the rear tire causing the thin chrome plating to be chipped off and exposing bare metal. You could clean it up with 0000 steel wool and then touch up the spot with "chrome" paint on a artist's brush. It wont be perfect, but would be much...
That's exactly where you pull the cover off. I put a piece of thin cardboard between that cover and the headliner so it wouldnt catch on the headliner material when I removed it; the same for installation.
Other than a slight "creak" coming from the rearview mirror cover that I corrected using felt, I have had no issues on my 2019 Longhorn. The AC is ice cold, super comfortable ride, and an overall awesome truck!
That's why I I don't use PPF. No matter how careful its applied, there are always a few bubbles, plus scratches from using a squeegee. Heskins is the largest supplier of safety and anti slip tape in the world and has a location in PA. They will send you samples free of charge. I used the...
I finally got around to fabricating and installing door sill protectors on my Longhorn. I've always fabricated protectors on previous vehicles using an "anti slip" tape; usually black in color. Since I now have a white truck, and also wanting to bring the material over the "leading edge" of the...
I have a trickle charger/tender that I've been using steadily on my Allante since 2012. I purchased it at Harbour Freight for under $5.00 with a coupon, and have had absolutely no issues whatsoever. They are still under $5.00.
I remember reading a post on here awhile back, where someone had a rattle above the rear passenger headliner. Turned out it was a wire harness connector that was not secured to the inner roof structure with the Christmas tree connector. He had to pull the headliner down from the sunroof opening...
Its amazing that there are not more trucks with paint defects, considering they push 1500 or so units a day out of the plant. Still, for what we paid, it's not right. My prior 4th Gen Sport had 34 paint defects that I corrected; the worst being on the roof, where the paint guns "spit" just...
I adjusted the strike plates on both rear doors on my 2019 Longhorn, as they did stick out on the bottoms; driver's side more than the passenger side. No whistles, wind noise, and they are now flush with the cab.
I have a similar ding on the Right bed side panel. The paint is not cracked, and it's only noticeable at certain angles, and being a white truck helps hide it further. The Rambox could be removed, and PDR could most likely eliminate it, but I'm going to leave it as is. Sad we have things like...
Awhile back, I saw a video on YouTube of a Ram owner with the same situation. Its quite possible the wiper arms were installed on the wrong sides, as my 2019 has the "curved" arm on the driver's side. In any event, I would demand that FCA send you to a very reputable body shop and have a new...
There is a prior post discussing the part numbers and cost for the conversion. As I recall, the upper part with the cup holders and lids is just under 400.00, and the deeper bottom part is around 35.00. It's a bit pricey, but a direct swap.
