You have to remove the front "panel" (the one shown with foam pads that I added); I used a spring removal tool ( basically a hook with a "t" handle) pull from the top toward the rear of the truck, then lift up and remove. The main cover just pulls straight down, and has 4 clip attachment points.
Sticking, then pulling away. I made a shim out of cardboard and tucked it in; applied a small amount of glue so it would not slip out, the reassembled a perfectly quiet cover. So if anyone has a creak from that area, that could be the cause.
My 2019 Longhorn has been remarkably quiet, and free from creaks, ticks, wind noise, etc., even when the temperature drops into the 20's. A few weeks ago while driving on a less than perfect road, I started hearing a faint creak/tick coming from the top center of the windshield. I noticed it...
I used this on a cladded Avalanche I had years ago with EXCELLENT long lasting results. This was the GM TSB fix for the faded plastic that plagued that model. It goes on super easy, looks awesome, and has incredible longevity. This Spring, when I detail my Longhorn, I will use it on the Rambox...
I used to undercoat all my vehicles, as it does protect against rocks chipping the paint underneath. However, after looking at everything under the truck, I decided to forgo it this time, as the retractable running boards and Weathertech mud guards should provide adequate protection. I will...

I used this on a cladded Avalanche I had years ago. I think I was the only Avalanche owner without faded cladding. It was the TSB fix by GM for faded plastic. It really works well, super EASY to apply, and looked new when I traded it in 7 years later.
I would look into purchasing the cover from one of the online dealerships to save some $$, then, if your comfortable with replacing it yourself, do that; or take it to the upholstery shop and have them do it. It may work out to be less expensive that way.
Yes, they say a Monday or Friday build could have issues, thankfully mine is a Wednesday build. I drove it Friday, and the outside temperature was 30 degrees, but felt like 15; not one tick or squeak! Maybe pressing on the right side A pillar top adjusted the position enough to stop the...
So I applied some silicone spray along the seams between the mirror panel and cover hoping to quiet the tick down. Little did I know that the silicone spray had acetone in it which damaged the plastic in terms of color. Thankfully nothing else was affected and I thought ahead and put a cloth...
I'm blessed to have a super quiet Longhorn, free from wind noise, rattles, squeakes etc.; maybe due to being a Wednesday build? Lol Anyway, I have an intermittent faint "tick" coming from the upper windshield area, moreso when it's cold out and the roads are not smooth. I figured it might be...
Thanks for the reply. Looks like I may be adding them soon. I purchased the Rambox dividers a few months ago, and they really help with organization; I think the interior will benefit from organization also.
I came across this while browsing through eBay, and thought it may be something worthwhile in terms of organizing the vast storage compartments in our trucks. Has anyone seen, and or purchased this, and if so, are they any good?
I have a few very fine scratches on my 12" screen that can only be noticed if the sunlight is at a certain angle. My question is; would a screen protector hide theses fine scratches, or make them more noticable?
Thanks for the replies. Yes, piano black is not the best choice for automotive trim. Years back, when I was restoring cars, I polished many dash / console inserts on the Monte Carlo SS's; these parts were gloss black and could easily be polished, as there were no buttons, knobs and crevices to...
HeliPilot, is yours as scratched up as mine? It's very discouraging to think that there all like this; especially at the price point we're paying for these vehicles.
Goatmann, did you shine a light on it when you looked? Mine looks almost perfect in the daylight, although when the sun shines on it at a certain angle, faint scratches are noticeable. Ordering and examining the 12" center stack before purchase from a dealer is definitely the way to go; however...
