Is it the same though ? Transmission gearing has to be the same as well (which it maybe is - don't know Gladiators) for it be exactly the same gearing (and also - same tire size).
My opinion - composite parts make sense where reduced weight and strength justifies the cost. For some reason the pattern became a decoration that people like because historically it was such an exclusive material - it's fine to decorate if someone likes it but neither it is real carbon fiber...
I have bunch of them - had to use Noco GB40 on Ford's 3.5 Ecooboost when battery crapped out during covid and it worked perfectly well. It is much more reasonable solution than buying main lithium battery for the truck.
I own this battery for a Mustang - which I race - and only reason I do is because of weight (obviously). Other than that, there is no reason to use them - they're finicky, have different voltage than regular batteries, most cars battery management systems can't charge them properly and you'd end...
Don't know how the RAM tailgate works but the strut likely isn't a culprit here - in F150 there is a tension rod that goes along the bottom of the tailgate (inside) - it's being twisted as you lower it (storing energy) and it untwists itself as your raise it - strut is there to damp the whole...
Turns out they're absolutely fine. They're All Season highway tire so can't have too high of an expectation but it is definitely an ok tire and you're not going to die in the snow if you have some common sense and driving skill (for reference I have years of driving on a real snow tires in both...
Cost.
For reference - wife's 2017 F150 - 69k miles, past power train warranty, very common 3.5 Ecoboost CAM phasers cold start rattle which (supposedly) doesn't impact engine reliability or longetivity but nonetheless got repaired (more than a day of labor + parts) completely free based on...
Ford has Customer Satisfaction Programs for their issues and routinely extends warranty on a known issues on their trucks - sometimes to 10 years - if feels like this would be an ideal candidate for a program like this.
Well - they tried to scam you - if you're miles are easy, no way your brake pads are anywhere near a need to be replaced, rotors even less likely. For comparison - wife's F150 has 70k miles, towed different trailer for about 15k of those, brakes are still fine. I flushed the brake fluid after...
Not sure about F-150s but 2022 Mustangs (which fundamentally use one of the engines that F-150s use with different heads/cams/intake) do have a carbon filter added that people remove - they also are rated 10hp lower than previous years with no other changes and people claim removing filter gives...
For comparison - Mustang sway bars (which is very popular and easy mod) are ~$250 each. Similar design, slightly lower diameter, they're all adjustable so have multiple holes at ends. No reason for this bar to cost $700. It's literally a bar.
You have to start with something that will drive the infrastructure - right now EV trucks are for people that use them as daily drivers/family haulers/go get 2x4 from Lowe's twice a year so I need a truck, also seems viable options for working contracting jobs in construction. When ICE cars...
